jurpo
Pretend being an Italian in Libya, December 1940. Given the task of assaulting British positions, located across a relatively open space, how would you deal with a Matilda II? Or a platoon of them? Playing the reverse setup, I was surprised how cheap they are -- with a 300 point setup you can afford a platoon of them, and a rifle platoon to boot: this is more than plenty to repel a much larger invading force with no (yes, zero) casualties.
Jussi Köhler
I would take a nap, and attack them at night.
Sergei
I would close assault it and throw some cooked spaghetti into its tracks. When the pasta dries in the sun, the tank will be immobilized. The good thing (from Italian POV) is that they have no HE, just MG's. That of course in itself is plenty when they are on defence. Try using smoke to get closer.
Wisbech_lad
As Mr Salt says... Matilda II, the ubertank for people who don't like ubertanks. Smoke and try and get in close? Surrender? 90mm AA gun with good LOS and high morale leader? Their MG load out isn't shabby, easily enough to deal with attacking infantry. And in CMBB they had amazing number of AP shells.
Berlichtingen
Well, the Matilda II is almost useless against infantry, so close assault with grenades would work fine
