Bone_Vulture
I have a ATI Radeon 9200 with 128 mb DDR memory, running on a 1,8 gig Athlon. Still, I suffer from insane choppiness when selecting an infantry unit (squad or mg team). Other types of units are seemingly unaffected. Also, extreme slowdown is experienced when the unit info box is open. I know that this topic has been discussed before (did search), and I tried to deactivate the Zmask thingy: no help. Has there been any development on creating a solution to these problems? Also, is there any way to prevent the "black screen bug" when switching from CM to an another program with alt+tab?

Schrullenhaft
The 'black screen bug' is solved by turning off FSAA/Smoothvision to my knowledge. Not a perfect solution, but both NVidia and ATI have this problem (and some of their earlier drivers didn't have this problem).
Bone_Vulture
My old Geforce 2 MX didn't have the black screen bug with vintage drivers. And it was nearly as fast as my current card with all the glitches.

It would appear that antialiasing cannot be disabled in D3D mode...?
phil stanbridge
Yes it can, *I think* you can set it to application specific in the same place you choose your AA options. Also, you can control it via Rage3d Tweak/powerstrip etc etc..
Bone_Vulture
In ATI's own settings panel you can only choose "application preference" or a factor between 2 and 6 for D3D Smoothvision. I've also installed the Rage3d thingie, but can't seem to locate such an option there.
