frtylicks
Can anybody tell me if there is any plans to release CMAK to stores like ebgames, like the 1st 2 CM games were. Thanks very much
Pzman
IIRC Moon (from BFC) said they had no plains to sell CMAK via retail.
Moon
That's correct, not at this time. If you have a problem with ordering it via mail-order, it's more likely that we're going to offer it via download from www.direct2drive.com fairly soon (like Strategic Command recently). junk2drive
That means that the download version will not require a CD in the drive. Any hope for the rest of us that bought the CD(s)?
General Bolt
What if you have a HD crash, how does this work for reloading a game? Also is this downloading cheaper?
mPisi
I saw the CDV version of CMBO at Fry's here in Dallas on the weekend. But I have lost track of the various reissues and special editions, so I don't know if it was ever in the US.
KG_Jag
Fry's in Austin had or has the CDV versions of both CMAK and CMBB (aka CM 2), although CMBB is/was made available by CDV in North America in the form of their Special Edition (2 CD) release.

From what I think, D2D will allow you to redownload the game when you had a HD crash, but you should confirm that with their support staff. It is a bit cheaper since you don't have to pay the shipping & handling fee ($7-$10). The price itself is basically the same as what we're charging (well, 1 cent less). However, you might have additional bandwidth cost depending on your internet access (certainly when you're using dial-up). I believe that you'll also have to download future patches from D2D instead of us (due to copy protection). Martin
