eichenbaum
The M3 Stuart used by the Russians in the Crimea 1942 While building a campaign 'Operation Störfang' I found out that the American tank M3 Stuart is not available for the Russians in CMBB. This tank was leased by the Russians and used for the defense of the Crimea (May 1942). M3 in the Crimea Does anybody know more about this ? lcm1947
I don't know if that's true but I assume it is since you said it but it's probably just another example of BFC holding out on us again. They always do that. Just look at how few vehicles they put into the game. Kidding of course. Just look at the vehicle mods I am having to d/l and put in the game. It's overwhelming. Anyway this was just actually a bump kind of since nobody else answered you. I hate seeing a post not replied to but I'm sure somebody will be along to answer, God knows I have no idea why. Let's see BFC answer their way out of this one.
Schrullenhaft
Looking through myself, CMBB offers the M3A1 Stuarts available by July 1942 in the South. I assume, but I don't know, that this may be based on shipping records.
Schonhult
Hi eichenbaum, The Stuart (M3A1) is avalible a couple of month later. You can "cheat" and make it avalible earlier by 1. Change the scenarios date parameter to july 1942 2. Add The stuarts 3. Change back the date parameter back to may. And you should have your precious stuarts, even if you are not supposed to.

Kingfish
According to this site the pic is of the 563rd independent tank battalion, which participated in operation 'Uzhnaya Ozereyka'. I do know that the Stuart was used in the Caucasus, both in the failed amphib landings at Ozereyka as well as the defense of Nalchik in Oct '42.
theike
hmm, yes the Stuart. Who's gonna mod it to make its extremely subdued cartoonish look some more competable?...
Schonhult
My pleasure, I look forward to your next scenario.
manchildstein (ii)
isn't the m3 really a different tank than the m5 stuart? i mean they both have a 37mm "long" and - if memory serves - the same running gear but isn't the mg loadout or armored protection slightly different or somefink?...
manchildstein (ii)
m3 and m5 the 'same' - 'stuart' - tank: http://www.missing-lynx.com/reviews/usa/nv33.htm back to your regular programming
