John Kettler
Am looking for a balanced fight, have already played the amazing Trappenjagd and am well into the nail biting, rip your hair out Royal Opponent. Would like something smaller that doesn't tax me or my rig so heavily as either. One monster at a time! Learned that playing Tiger Valley and Trappenjagd in tandem. Eek! (cut to) NG cavscout impatiently checking his E-mail for a set up. Regards, John Kettler
sudowudo
i recommend ring of fire from the KOTH 2 tourney.now that i finished it and had a look from both angles it is about as even a fight as is possible imho.
John Kettler
sudowodo, I understand that you've looked at it from both sides and perceive it as balanced on that basis, but have you played it against a live foe? Many battles work great vs. AI when playing the designated side, yet fall apart under the dynamics of human vs. human play. sudowudo
just finished it in the KOTH 2 tourney as allied and will shortly begin playing it as axis in another pbem.both sides have advantages and disadvantages that balance out,its up to you how you deploy and twist the battle to suit your forces
Dunhill06
"5th Tank Army vs 24th Panzer" The map, selection of forces and victory conditions display a keen understanding of how to use the CMBB system to create an intense and very playable scenario. Highly recommended. http://www.the-proving-grounds.com/scenario_details.html?command=search&db=scenarios.db&eqskudatarq=1081
John Kettler
sudowodo, Appreciate that clairification. Now, where do I find it, please? Dunhill06, You write great ad copy. Color me intrigued! Regards, John Kettler
Bannon DC
John K -- I'll recommend two of mine that I had fun with and another that I playtested from both sides. CMBB Artillery Sword Late war scenario with scratch German force trying to check Soviet advance. * make sure you pick of "Sword" not "Artillery Shield" which is balanced to play against the AI. TankodesskyH2H Newly arrived Pzr IV longs vs T34s. Good scrappy battle that will test your nerves. Well rated. Author: VON SCHWENDEMAN CMAK Brit Inf AT Tactics 1940 This one is designed to play 2 player only. About 24 turns and 2000 points. Better player should play as the British and be a scrappy player. Good luck

John K -- "Ring" is now posted on TSD. I'm playing it now in the tourney. "Big" in terms of the map but not in terms of the units. It is a thinking scenario.
Other Means
John, one of the best CMBB games I've played is: KP-Ghost Column at Rzhavets FYI,it's at night but it's flippin' brilliant.
John Kettler
All, Thanks! I now owe NG cavscout setups for 5th Tank Army vs. 24the Panzer and for Ghost Column. Full dance card! He's ramping up the combat load so I'll be ready for the last ROW. Still working on that article, though. Royal Opponent continues--in all its hair-raising splendor.
