GAGA Extrem
I am sorry if there is already a topic about the DPM MG firepower, but i used the search engine and did not find anything about that. Here's the question: Why hast the light russian infantry DPM MG a lower firepower on 40m (10)than on 100m (23) or even 500m (11)?! I am confused...
Krautman
Thats a strange thing that occurs among all late-war lMgs (see e.g. german Sturm/assault squads in '45). As you, I don't see any reason for this. Try a pre-45 squad and its DP lMg will have higher firepower at 40m. Big question mark here, maybe someone could explain.
Sergei
If the loader carries a SMG, then at close range he uses that instead of feeding the LMG, resulting in a lower ROF for the LMG but a higher combined firepower.
GAGA Extrem
Well, but, if there is a 8 men squad, they shouldn't they have 9 weapons? Or shouldnt the MG carrier have a very high firepower at close quarter range? Sounds like beetles ^_-

This close-range drop in LMG firepower only happens with SMG-heavy squads. If the loader carries a rifle, then he keeps assisting the LMG gunner.
GAGA Extrem
Oh, it looks like i misinterpreted your first post. Sry, my english is quite awful... ._.; But this answer doesnt really convince me... I don't think that CMBB can really handle this action... ...but would be worth a test. I am gonna check this out when I have some time!

Anytime the range gets so close that it would be more effective for the loader to fire his own weapon rather than assist the MG, he'll stop loading and fire his own weapon.
