Bannon DC
Wouldn't that be something? A what if post-WWII scenario where things went terribly wrong in the Allies relations. The ultimate match up of Shermans vs T-34s. I'm sure I would have heard about it by now if someone had figured out a way to make it happen. Is it possible with CMBB or CMAK?
Sergei
In a way yes, as you can have Soviet Shermans vs. German T-34's in CMBB. You'll have to stretch your imagination to think of Americans speaking Russian and Soviets speaking German, though.
David I
Bannon DC, I think the easiest, and surest answer is: No. CMAK, CMBO & CMBB do not cross over, they are stand alone games. A shame because I always fancied an Austrailians vs Fins scenario myself. DavidI
DzrtFox
This is why I genuinely hope that the next iteration of CM is more "mod-able" than this one. Sure manipulating graphics files is great but being able to actually get under the hood and setup things like this would be even better...
Elefant
US vs USSR was doable in Steel Panthers. Anyone remember that one? A lot of fun mowing down the Russian infantry hordes with quad 50's on the back of American halftracks. Not so fun in Sherman tanks running up against IS-2's.
Glider
I still recall a great what-if scenario someone made for a Steel Panthers tournament. Patton breaks through and his advanced elements reach an important Russian depot. It was defended by T-34/100s among other things!

Michael I remember seeing a T34/100 in the AH Arab Israeli Wars game. It was in the 1956 battles. T34/100 model I don't know when it was actually fielded.

Michael Well in SP scenario designers can change every element of the unit combat data screen, including armour, all weapons (once, just for fun, I altered T-34s to carry TOW-2 missiles ), etc. The feature has rarely been used properly but this scenario designer introduced a number of what-if weapons for this USSR-USA 1946 (IIRC) scenario. Nothing fancy, just logical extensions of weapons development programmes, Russians had recoilless rifles etc... but I still recall my shock when T-34/100s rolled out to meet my Shermans
Cannon-fodder
hmmm, Russians vs. Americans equals two outcomes: Conventional warfare, pre-nukes, Russia sweeps through Western Europe. America and Allies take heavy losses, but ship some people out. Who knows what would happen then? More likely- with nukes, the Americans were in favour of 'massive retalliation' - where if there was any Soviet aggression, they would immediately respond with as many nuclear strikes as they could. No way Soviets could have survived. But then, the fact is that nuclear deterrent probably was the single thing which stopped the USA from fighting the Soviet Union...
Thermopylae
I don't know if the russians would sweep Europe. Your run out of bread pretty fast when the food growers of the world stop sending you stuff. And your own farm collectives are pretty useless. (If I recall, the USSR had to crash demobilize a good chunk of its army after 1945 to prevent a famine)
junk2drive
If CM had latrines I'd mod them too... If anyone wants to mod it, my PTO and Korea mods use Soviet kit for Germans, before AK arrived I modded the Soviets as USA from demo bmps. Germans as Soviets Captured T34/85 " Su85 Marder III early uses 76mm Soviet gun (Korea mod) Plus all the stuff the Soviets captured from the Germans can be used as is. Soviets as USA M3 scout M Stuart M4A2 76 Jeep Uni carriers M Halftracks A Berlin battle might be for some people. There are some maps and scenarios at TSD that could be used as a start.
