Saukopf
Hello, Ive been playing a lot of 500 point QB's. I play as the german defender in a an allied attack battle. I setup my forces close to the flags to insure control. I then go to the first orders phase and look down at the score. I thought in past games it would always read 100 percent since I control all the flags and have not suffered any casualties but recently I have noticed Im only getting a score that ranges in between 88% to 98% percent. Why would I have a score lower than 100 percent ? I have control of all the flags and not a shot has been fired yet so Im wondering why my score is less than 100%. Im playing with the 1.03c patch. Maybe Im missing something obvious but could someone please explain why I might be seeing what seems to be a strange score.
Redwolf
Split squads?
Saukopf
Im not splitting any squads so that couldnt be a factor.
Saukopf
Would anyone be willing to do a few quick battle tests to see if their score is below 100 using the type of situation I described at the beginning of this post?...If you see a score of 100% in that type of situation it would help me confirm something is wrong here on my end but if you are seeing a score less than 100% percent then how can that be explained? Any ideas?.
KanaljeFätter
I'm playing with the v1.02 (CDV) and I DID get 100% Maybe the 1.03 is involved? I reproduced yours exactly. Oh and the date was july '44 if that could somehow impact things..
MGONZOM
Do you have casualties in the setup?
Saukopf
Thanks for the replies, No im not playing with casulaties, mods, splits squads, or anything else which would give me reason to suspect its causing the scoring anomaly. Thats why Im so baffled ;o). As a interim measure I did try reinstalling all the patches to see if it made any difference. One thing I didnt do is install 1.03a and 1.03b before applying 1.03c but I thought a and b could be skipped thinking 1.03c would incorporate all the changes in a and b. Regardless it didnt make any difference and I still see the strange score. It almost feels like the computer Ai is being given a random handicap that substracts from my score, or there is an invisible flag out on the map that Im not getting credit for (I cant defend what I cant see!) I guess there just must simply be something weird about my system or something in the game got corrupted since no one else is noticing missing points in similar situations.
kenm
Post on the 1.03c thread if you can find it. I had a similar prob with 1.03c, I killed all but nine men of the enemies and suffered a minor defeat. This was over five battles. The explanations offered by the appologists were inadequate. Your post in the thread might prompt a look see by BFI before they come out with the final CMBB patch.
Redwolf
kenm, you are talking about an operation. Operations are known to be much less developed an debugged than battles in both CMs.
Cpl Carrot
The answer (I think) is missing fortifactions. If a fortifaction (in 1.03) is missing due to casulaties then it reflects in your score. Why I don't know. Cpl Carrot
Saukopf
that would make sense except Im not playing with casualties *on* so I should be getting all of my forces at game start. At least thats the way I thought it was supposed to work.
