Janster
I'm currently wanting to play some operation style games with some friends, and find that we like the game best when the maps are at their largest... Now we usually make our own maps or modify smaller ones, but latly I've been wondering if there really is NO max sized maps, particularly topographical out there?.. I don't like scenarios, cause I want to get the equipment I need myself for the battles, so all we want is good clean maps that offers a good challenge... As for the random generator, it really isn't any good. Hope somebody have some ideas.. with regards Janster

Hope somebody have some ideas.. with regards Janster Are you aware that you can start a Quick Battle to select your units and then 'load map' from any map or scenario? Obviously not. There are a few maps out there - I am about 1/4 of the way through a campaign on a 6km x 4km map and have recently completed building a scenario on a (roughly) 3km x 2km map - but because many people look forward to completing a game in this lifetime, they are discouraged by the thought of such huge games.
SgtMuhammed
Scenarios with max sized maps normally require max size forces to go with them. As a designer it is a pain in the but to take the time to research and then convert and produce a map that will only see 30 percent of it used. Filling it up, on the other hand, leaves one with a game that quickly becomes overwelming. The best way to do it is to design your own. Look around you and approximate the area in which you live. As long as you aren't trying to be historical then it doesn't really make that much difference.
