"City of ther ruins.."

Today ,after major onslaught,Russian army was ruthlessly decimated!!!!.

Elite German force under command of Col. Konradicus Victorius destroyed all enemy armour and took over 100 prisoners..

Stiff Russian defence finally broke down ,when main enemy strogpoint went under heavy infantry attack ,supported by concentrated artillery and panzers.Still, fight was very fierce and only after complete devastation of main Russian defensive line ,soviet commander, col Vadr ,

decided to surrender. He is allowed to keep his personal weapon ,and to rest of his brave men was already given hot coffie.WE Germans,we know how to fight like a real men.

"There stands a soldier on the Volga bank..."

Speaking of lobotomies... Hiram, you do realize that that is one of the requirements of living south of the Mason-Dixon line...

All together now...

Our campfires shone bright on the mountains

That frowned on the river below.

While we stood by our guns in the morning,

And eagerly watched for the foe.

When a rider came out of the darkness

That hung over mountain and tree.

And shouted "Boys! Up and be ready!

For Sherman will march to the sea"

And shouted "Boys, up and be ready,

For Sherman will march to the sea".

Then shout upon shout for bold Sherman

Went up from each valley and glen.

And the bugles re-echoed the music

That rose from the lips of the men.

For we know that the stars in our banners

More bright in their splendor would be.

And that blessings from North land would greet us,

When Sherman marched down to the sea.

And that blessings from North land would greet us,

When Sherman marched down to the sea.

Then forward, boys, forward to battle,

We marched on our wearisome way.

And we stormed the wild hills of Resacca,

God bless those who fell on that day!

Then Kennesaw, dark in its glory,

Frowned down on the flag of the free.

But the East and the West bore our standards

When Sherman marched down to the sea

But the East and the West bore our standards

When Sherman marched down to the sea

Still onward we pressed till our banners

Swept out from Atlanta's grim walls.

And the blood of the patriot dampened

The soil where the Traitor flag falls.

We paused not to weep for the fallen

That slept by each river and tree.

But we twined them a wreath of the laurel,

When Sherman marched down to the sea.

But we twined them a wreath of the laurel,

When Sherman marched down to the sea.

Proud, proud was our army that morning,

That stood where the pine darkly towers

When Shermand said, "Boys, you are weary,

But today, fair Savannah is ours."

Then we all sand a song for our Chiertain,

That echoed o'er river and lea,

And the stars on our banners shone brighter,

When Sherman marched down to the sea.

And the stars on our banners shone brighter,

When Sherman marched down to the sea.

This is almost close to interesting and all but i for one could go without the middle aged sex chatline that seems to evolve whenever someone of the female gender shows up if there are 3 or more "men" over 30.

Is this a contest to see who can be the most disgustingly cute, or perhaps a test to prove ones total lack of getting any?

Either way i blame the gnome , sure they look all nice and cute, but when you stop drinking for a few hours their tune changes mighty quick!

Jimmy Joe Boggs, you are clearly delusional. No doubt partially due to the lobotomy, and partially to breathing that swamp gas.

My dear Berlichtingen:

The nip of an Illinois frost has apparently frozen solid the 12 lbs of earwax you have collected over the past 107 years. What I said was:

I' ve got a bottle in front of me and been catching fat bass

To further disprove your claim, I would NEVER use the word partially TWICE in the same sentence!

By the way, nice marching song. I didn't notice any Florida cities mentioned. Coincidence?

Quiet now.

Mumbles incantations.

Puts down glass. Lights cigarette.

In the distance the stilted sounds of ghost stories being told around the dying embers of a campfire.

Did someone say wine?

A nice red fruity one hopefully. oh Rioja eh!

Not my fav but I'm not one to complain..

*Sips wine*

You have an affliction to paint then Moraine?

funny how some people connect sitting in front of the computer with there own fav pastime..

Still, touching up ones miniatures can be messy, so the confusion is understandable really.

Droll. Very droll. heh

But if you truly paint miniatures, you oughta post up some picks of them somewhere. I never developed a talent for painting on canvas. Only ceramics.

To all those poolers who have recently been afflicted with a curious desire not to sleep perchance to dream, the inkling that maybe now would be a good time to fall off the wagon, or just the sudden overwhelming urge to scoop out their own eyeballs with a spoon to stop THE PAIN THE PAIN, let me just offer one little word of explanation for the above sentence.

Seanachai = miniature.

There. No charge. No need to thank me. I'll just wait till the screamin' dies down.

Ermmmmmmmm I was referring to Berli and his pastime not mine...

Me, well I just sit here and ponder mostly.

Brain dead you know, tis painful at times, stops one from sleeping. But I find it more pleasing to sit in front of my comp rambling till sleep comes, than join the rest of the Zombies out there.

BTW.... Just for you

Excuse me, I was looking for THE PENG THREAD , you know the MBT .

My God what has happened here? I feel like Lord Chauncey is going to come bouncing ever so lightly up to sip his Chardonay and powder his nose before heading off to touch-up his miniatures.

Listen up all Sissies: SOD OFF!

This is the MBT. Where are the Guardians that have allowed this to happen. The Peng Thread is about CHALLENGES. Insult, berate, cajole, belittle, bemoan, bother, irritate, isolate, inebriate....anyway you get the idea.

If there be any more "Lovey-Dovey" stuff posted on this Most Sacred of Threads without immediate and complete rebuke by the "Ancient Ones", then I will proceed to proclaim the deathknell of a once feared and respected thread.
