gunnersman
That is talent per say. Or a knack for a weapon or unit. I was playing Wild Bills revision of Team Desobry. I had a bazooka team on three different battles take out take out three different vehicles on the first shot. One shot was in the wind and rain and at night, no less, at about 40 meters and another shot (the most impressive) was made on a Tiger, side hull, at 145 meters! ONE SHOT, ONE FRICKIN KILL! Bazooka sniper! I wanted to jump in and high five this guy! Man, I love this game! Hurry up with CM2, damnit!

CMplayer
Originally posted by Phoenix: No. Though the idea is nice. In fact here is a really good idea: When purchasing troops at lower experience levels, (medium, low) there could be a little ration for crack/elite support units, like snipers or bazooka guys. No more than, say, 5-10% of the total point count could be spent on guys who just have a knack for hitting things with a bazouki. Also, it would be cool if there were some HQ's with a negative modifier like that Col Klutz in Squad Leader. regards, --Rett

This would defeat the purpose of low experience levels. There is, however, a lobby in favour of unrestricted quick battles. See this thread for further details: Were they really all the same? ParaBellum
What was the experience level of the bazooka team? ------------------ Klotzen, nicht kleckern!

I don't think it would 'defeat the purpose' of having lower experience levels. The overall experience level would still be the same, despite there being a few 'talented' snipers or bazooka guys in the battalion. regards, --Rett

Jeff Heidman
Think of it this way: The "green" troops currently *do* have a chance of an especially talented individual, which is why the chance to hit with that bazooka is 5% instead of 0% Jeff Heidman
