Mord
Ok...so where does the screenshot end up when it is taken? I can't find it anywhere. Mord
russellmz
it's in the "nether regions" of the windows clipboard. after u hit the print screen button the image is 'saved' on the clipboard. just open windows PAINT or some other painting graphics program that handles .bmp files. then choose EDIT and choose PASTE ------------------ "They had their chance- they have not lead!" - GW Bush "They had mechanical pencils- they have not...lead?" - Jon Stewart on The Daily Show
Col Deadmarsh
There's also lots of free "screen capture" programs out there. Just do a search and you'll find a crapload of them. ------------------ Youth is wasted on the young.
Mord
Thanks russell but Paint won't let me choose paste. I can only choose "pastefrom" and I don't know where the clipboard is located. Man, everytime I start to think that I know what I am doing my computer sure proves me wrong. I don't ride the little bus...I drive it. Triggerhappy
Try using Hypersnap from www.hyperionics.com . It's the best screen capture program available. It's pretty easy to use. Just press a key and a snap shot will be stored on your hard drive. ------------------ laid to rest alive waiting in a shallow grave mines have learned patience - Kurtz Rührt euch! Slapdragon
If you have a mac it is much easier. Use the command-shift-3 and a file will appear in your primary hard drive called picture-1, -2, etc. It is a 1-1 picture of all your desktops (interesting if you are like many MacOS users and you run more than one monitor to allow you to game and work at the same time). This file is a .pct (PICT) file in millions of colors and can be manipulated in graphics programs. Many writers will even run Windows on the Mac to be able to take this color perfect screen shot.
