MikeT
Saddly no. There are Windows emulators for the Mac, VIrtual PC I think it is called. But Gordon never did a Mac version. If you know some kind sole capable of such programming maybe I could get the code from Gordon and that person could translate the code. Webs
I use the MCM3 for Mac mods. Not the same, but sure as heck easier than doing everything manually.

StormDog
After you start the pgm, hit the BMP mapping button to get a list of numbered resources, and the files that they live in. These files have names like "Graphics 1", "Graphics 2", etc., and they live in your CM "Data" folder. The mods normally come in a .zip file, and can be expanded with Stuffit Expander which can be downloaded from the Aladdin web site at www.aladdinsys.com. When the zip file is expanded, a folder is created in the same directory, and should contain a number of .bmp files. These are the mods, and each mod is named something like 1550.bmp. The number before the .bmp extension is the resource id, and corresponds to the numbers you saw in the BMP Mapping list. Now in the program, look for the Advanced Features button, and click it. You should now see two buttons at the top of the program's window. The left button is used to select the folder that you unzipped, the one with all the numbered .bmp files. When you click on this button, a popup menu will be displayed. You want to select the item named "Select a New Mod Folder". A file dialog will appear, and you will have to navigate to the unzipped folder, select it, and hit the "Choose" button. A list will appear under the left button showing you the numbered .bmp files that are in the choosen folder. Now go to the right button, click in it to get it's popup menu, and pick the "Open a CM Data Folder" item. Another file dialog will appear, navigate to your CM folder, select the folder in it named "Data" and click in the "Choose" button. Now click on one of the file names in the list under the left button. A second list should appear under the right button with matching numbers. Also two graphic swatches should appear on the left and right sides of the window. The left graphic is the mod, and the right is what it is going to replace. To replace all the items with the new mod versions click in the "Convert <foldername> button just under the left list. To replace only the some of the mods, shift click the ones you want in the left list, and click the "Convert Selected" button which is the second button under the left list. Hope this helps. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any problems. I've used this program quite a bit, and have found it to work fine. Joe

jeffsmith
Both Mac Mod Programs are very good and I appreciate the work of the programmers but I tended to use the CM MACMOD program rather than MCM3 Downloadable Here [ February 07, 2003, 02:28 PM: Message edited by: jeffsmith ]
