How ya been? locutus and I, among several others on the Interplay boards, used to debate long and hard about how Star Trek starship combat should or should not work. Particularly as it relates to Starfleet Academy (boy, I sure hope Klingon Academy is better ). Yes, this is the very same Lee from the SFA and SFC boards. Great to see you. Man, it's been about two 1/2 years since I first starting posting heavy to the SFA board and began the debates with you (doesn't seem that long, does it? ). Funny we should meet up again here. I imagine I'll be seeing you on the SFC boards as well. My monitor was broken on me for quite awhile and I only recently got a new one. It was so hard to read text on the old one that I tried to not post any more than necessary, so I haven't been able to be on the SFC board for months (my monitor was on backorder *forever*, I finally had to order a different model). Lee Posted May 19, 2000 Share Posted May 19, 2000 Once tcp/ip becomes available, I imagine the need for icq will drop like a rock. Just hook up and play for as long as you like, then save when ready to quit for the day. Only downside is you have to wait for your opponent to finish his moves, but for most players that won't be too big of a deal. Looking forward to the patch for that. Got flamed in KA when I voiced my concerns about using a joystick for control of a capital starship, NEVER!!!! anyway Lee, it's good to hear from you. Yeah, it's cool to have different personas to suite different types of games. Me, I always go by the same gaming handle. BTW, Lee isn't my gaming handle, this is my real name.
