IntelWeenie
Tried the Hi-res grass from MDMP-1 and I had speed issues, too. I went back to the stock grass until/unless I get a faster PC. ------------------ "Belly to belly and everything's better" - Russian proverb
Talenn
I'm now using the Lo-Res Grass. I had the Hi-Res and its fine in Battles, but it was causing some issues in the larger Ops. For the record: P3 550, 128Megs, 16Meg TNT2 Card. FWIW, the Lo-Res Grass is ALMOST as nice and much less taxing the hardware IMO. Talenn
pathfinder
I use the hi-res. haven't played any operations yet but the grass doesn't seem to tax my system much if any...smoke, however, is a very different story. system: athalon 500 mhz, 128 mb pc-100 ram, creative gforce ddr (nvida reference drivers), soundblaster live! value, on an asus k7m mobo. ------------------ unca pathy will show ya the path, if only he could find it himself! patboivin
I play on an old Pentium Pro laptop, 64M of RAM. I added the new grass textures and the MDMP-1, I like the new textures (esp. the trees for Fall), except I don't seen any difference for the grass Must be my video card. I didn't notice a slowdown, but I'm slow anyway.
