Moreover, the gun itself was already obsolescent in the early '80, in the CMBS timerframe it's clearly obsolete. Its only real advantage could be the ability to see through even thermals obscurant smoke. And, yes the MT-12R Ruta has a RADAR fire control system, it's not merely a rangefinding device.
