PeterNZer
Anyone generated any NZ maps/scenarios? I guess we'd have to use a combo of Canadian/Brit formations, but I'm not to sure on the OOB and TOE thingy for the NZ forces. I know there was lots of kiwis at Monte Casino and throughout Crete etc, but finding maps and details has eluded me, (only tried a web-search so far). Anyone else been more successfull? I've seen pics of Kiwis in fireflies and shermans, so I'm sure the battles would be interesting. Keith
When CM3 comes out, which should cover the Med/Afrika, I am sure there will be a number of scenarios for ANZAC troops. I have made a few historic scenarios featuring ANZAC troops for Talonsoft's West Front game. From what I have read the ANZAC troops were definitely the best infantry the Brits had. PeterNZer
O Keith, how did you find out all the info and maps and stuff? Guess i'm new to this kinda stuff. As an NZ'er, i'd love to have a go at it.. want to join me and work together. Germanboy and I were trying to work out how to mode the trench-raids by the Maori platoons.. we're not sure it could be pulled of successfully PeterNZ
Schugger
Do you have any old board games? Some players here have converted ASL maps into CM maps with the editor. I have an old AH boardgame called "Thunder at Cassino" and started to make some maps at 1km X 1km scale. OoBs is a different matter as one counter in the game is an entire infantry platoon. Hamstersss
There's a great NZ sound sound mod on CombatHQ now, it changes the Brits to say things like: "Hey, he hit my leg or somefink!" "I'M GONNA KILL U CARZY KRUAT!!" "NASDFGKJRE ALPVXOP XHPAWEJ!!!!!!" ------------------ Did someone compare this to the Ealing comedies? One is huge, the other medium/small. ------------------ Never leave your mind so open your brains fall out.
Chek
Hey Pete. Most of the libraries around NZ have the official tomes of the various NZ battalions that fought during WW2.They're pretty comprehensive.I vaguely recall the one on the Maori battalion(I forget which number it was now)detailing a raiding party on German positions at night.Anyway check them out they're well worth a read. Cheers Chek
STRAKER
I'd like to have a look to compare it to mine see which is better. I think my map will be better! Wait till u see it!!! i got it from a 3d image of Cassino hand drawn in me Grandpops NZ WWII book. Me map is 90% accurate to that of the cassino battle map!! Even the right roads, rivers etc are there. Has taken me along time dam it. Also i have all the NZ forces of battle and german, not to mention other allied groups as well. I have NZ cpts names etc down to what the exact weather was like that day. The prob is its really 4 battles rolled into one. Dam hard figuring out how to play it. Hussar
Keith, they were not ANZAC troops after Dec 41. The Australian divisions were withdrawn to slog their way through New Guinea etc. The NZ forces stayed in Europe to fight in Italy.

Bombardier
Just wondering.... Where in NZ do you live? I met someone form CC in NY. I later went to visit. Beautiful place. Too bad I couldn’t convince myself to relocate. There is no work there.
