Err...yes please, the same goes for the sound files.

How about the 3D models as well? This will make the process of creating mods a bit less tedious right?

Now that I think about it, you really should release the source code too so that the CM community can make contributions to the game engine...

*sigh*, of course, this will never happen.

Can I at least have a Linux port? wink.gif

No. You must labor like the rest of the mod-makers in "CM bitmap file hell". Only then will thou be a true mod maker who has suffered by thine eternal labours only to finish and discover to your innermost horror one small piece that you missed. You will clench your fists in rage and howl unto the heavens like a bitter demon tormented in hell. Do your time. Seek, mis-identify, colour the wrong piece, be forced to start your mod over from scratch biggrin.gif

List of bmp file mappings? Bah! A CM mod-maker craves not these things. This is the way to the Dark side...errr...ummm...n/m....

Actually, amazingly enough, BTS DOESN'T have such a list.

Kwazydog was putting one together to aid work on the PC Texture Manager project but it proved to be just too much work to assemble.

We looked at assembling one to assist in MCM3 and MacMod, and have the list of files per resource, but not per vehicle. Too much effort to figure out which vehicle was which.

However, a suggestion:

All you mod makers: If you can provide the bmps in *folders* that tell what vehicle it is for, we should be able to compile a list pretty darn quickly, what with all the mods going on.

ie, folder name: PZIVJ

inside are ONLY PZIVJ textures.

Then, all some enterprising person needs to do is a quick program to grab the folder title, and strip out the texture numbers. Compile into some program and wa lah! There we go.

Or, how bout a file that someone can send updates to? As people do mods they can email madmatt or someone to update the file? Or provide a text file that states which files were modified for what vehicle.

I'm sure we can find some poor...err volunteer to compile all the info.

Actually it wasnt so much that it was too much work, I just decided that for the time being Id stick to working on textures instead as its a long and slow process wink.gif

This is what I found out about the Demo Stug:

Note that finding these files is the MINOR part of the modding work!

I just sent a sound mod to Madmatt that included a txt document with most of the sound files sorted out, but not the "There coming right for us!" kinda files, just the sound effects.

hopefully Madmatt will post it. If not he could still post the txt file. Its by no means complete, I do NOT intend to sit and sort out what bang goes with what gun.

Umm, what are guys bumping this thread up for? BTS doesn't have a list and aren't going to make one.

A full list should be undertaken by some of the Mod authors and distributed via private email.

Once it is complete and verified you could send me (CMHQ) a copy and I would be happy to post it.
