rocketman
SPOILERS for "Dropzone Charlie" (BP) ************************************** In "Dropzone Charlie" (US version) I have had AT guns towed by Jeeps and the unloaded to set up. They remain "limbered" even after a few turns of the unit having a "deploy" order and nothing happens. Another AT gun that I didn't tow was able to deploy properly.
Vanir Ausf B
Can't replicate. Do you have a save game file?

Vanir Ausf B
Got the files. You said "they remain 'limbered' even after a few turns of the unit having a 'deploy' order and nothing happens", but in fact they only arrive at the position shown in your screenshot shortly before the end of the last turn you sent (127) and are still rotating into place as the turn ends. The deploy time is nearly two full turns (1.8 minutes) so I am not sure why you are expecting them to be deployed already. It's going to be a couple more turns (131 at the earliest). General Jack Ripper
There was a bug that prevented AT guns from deploying except after a very long time, but it was fixed in the 3.12 patch. Just give them a couple more turns, I've done some weapons testing recently and everything worked as expected.

I think I had them in another position previously where they didn't deploy either. And if they were deploying, it should say so in the description in the bottom left corner - right? I will keep track of the following turns. They were still not "deploying" in the turn I played this morning (129). Hopefully I just missed something and it isn't a bug.

Preferably it should, but it doesn't. AT gun crews stopped saying "deploying" a couple of years ago (Red Thunder, IIRC). It's just how they work now. I don't know if it's considered a bug or not but BFC does know about it.

That's probably what confused me, but I will still check for proper deployment in the expected time.
rocketman
They finally deployed, so what threw me off was that it didn't state that the crew was in the process of deploying but "spotting". Was it ever officially announced that it changed to this? Can't see a reason to omit the "deploying" description, but I'm sure there is one.
A Canadian Cat
Yeah, I keep checking to make sure I did not forget to give them the deploy command.
