WinOrLose
Added an air strike to a QB for a bit of fun but I am having trouble using it. We are 15 minutes in and the planes status has just changed from "enroute" to "preparing". I have a FO and can select the tab but cant give it a mission. Is there just a time delay or am I doing something wrong?
ridethe415
per the manual Aircraft now roam the battlefield on their own initiative, without direction from the player or Forward Observer teams. Use them at your own risk!
Placebo
Air strikes are all AI controlled now, so sit back and watch the bombs fall.

MikeyD
Bombers are 'free agents' and their arrival can't really be estimated. Also the presence of AA gun on the map will inhibit their freedom of action too. One thing I can't recall anyone mentioning, in the editor air assets get the same range of experience, motivation, fitness. etc. as other units. I would imagine a crack fanatic Stuka is more likely to show up reliably than a green low-motivation Stuka.
Brent Pollock (WBRP)
...and should impact friendly fire probability. I used ~12 strafe-only IL-2s in a QB and it was an absolute hoot. Unfortunately, my opponent did not have AAA so we did not get to see that in action.
