Saferight
I've compiled a bigger set of textures from RO1 others might be able to make use of or just use for inspiration. i planned on using some of them but i don't have the time. Again all in .dds format https://www.dropbox.com/s/efs2rzj6sawkwch/RO-DH%20Textures.zip

Oddball_E8
Soo... decided to try out your MG42 sounds by just popping them in my override folder (thus, theoretically, overriding my own sounds). This highlighted an interesting problem. I'll upload a video of it asap.
Oddball_E8
The video speaks for itself: Might want to look into how those sounds work :/ (Personally I only mod the gun mg42.wav file. that's the one you named wrong so that's the one that didn't work)

Oh ok, yeah, the gun MG42 x2 and x3 files should probably not be used in the game as it seems to add gunfire after the firing has stopped.

tdogg
I can't tell which sound mod I got it from but I'm using a mod soup of oddball jorje and saferight. I notice that the dp and the maxim have the same sound. Any chance we could get a sound specifically for the dp, maybe the one the t34 uses as the coax sound as that's the same gun?
Saferight
Thats all up to bfc really which i hope will be changed in the patch so at least the modders can make a variety.
Saferight
I may be mistaken but arent all the coax mg sounds on tanks the same but the bow mg sounds are correct?
tdogg
You might be right. But yeah I would love to separate the sounds of the maxim and the dp. Having distinct gun sounds is critical for me and my situational awareness.
Saferight
Here is a folder containing the flamethrower sound from RS and 2 new ones taken from real flamethrowers... https://www.dropbox.com/s/6lhko70ficlclc5/FT%20Sounds.zip
Saferight
For CMSF or CMBS here are some very intense background sounds of combat from Syria.. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ts4x3wymtf2nbav/Intense%20Firefight%20Background%20Sounds%20%28Syria%29.zip

Saferight
thanks kendar, but do they sound a little too close?
Erwin
Are these new, or old mod from CMSF days? (Always good to have new CMSF stuff.)
kendar
thanks kendar, but do they sound a little too close? It dépends of the scenario's contextual atmosphere. they're great in intensive urban combat, but (on my taste) not suited on open skirmish. I love to change background, it's always cool to hear a new one, an break the feeling of playing always the same war.
Saferight
Are these new, or old mod from CMSF days? (Always good to have new CMSF stuff.) Both of those are new to CM. i ripped one from some combat footage and the other someone had done the same and released it on the web.. Here are some more https://www.dropbox.com/s/xdyf9nkznst3xda/Background%20%20Combat%20Sounds.zip they are mostly from other games like MoH CoD not sure if others have released these before ( except for "Background day combat 2" i slapped that together).. I love to change background, it's always cool to hear a new one, an break the feeling of playing always the same war. Its pretty cool we have that ability with all sound mods out there.

Saferight
Here are some hit decals from World of Tanks i'm not sure if they are stock or from someones mod for that and seems like there are a few different variations of it out there. https://www.dropbox.com/s/0g7afitd9zfw3w1/WoT%20Hit%20Decals.zip?m= I've just made them usable by the community so all credit go to whomever originally put them together. They appear to be from those test tanks in finland like some of the ones i released so still they might be bit too "shiney" for you armor penetration grogs on here. ohh and i have pretty large engine sounds mod in the works, i'm compiling sounds for most of the AFVs in the game. It just sucks that all the vehicles share sounds according what class they fall in. EDIT: Here are some screens of the decals
