Destraex1
Just curious if it has any performance impacts in game?
FroBodine
Hmm, I haven't tried it yet. I usually don't add my non-Steam games to Steam, even though I have Steam running in the background all the time.
Destraex1
I do as well. Just to advertise to all my friends what games I play and how long. It usually sparks some interest and interesting conversation. 6hrs to go for me to finish downloading.
PeterH
I find its the best way to advertise combat mission, you get quite a few requests as to what the hell CM:## is! To which you normally just respond with something like "Oh just about the greatest game in the world".
Michael Emrys
6hrs to go for me to finish downloading. Wow, and I thought I had it hard with an over two hour DL. My heartfelt condolences, sir. Michael
Destraex1
Download failed at 50%. Looks like I will have to leave this one to chew up more bandwidth over night.
Michael Emrys
That's what I would do when I was still using a dial-up connection. I'd set it up to run and then go to bed. This time wasn't that bad. I set it up and then fixed and ate my breakfast. Relaxed for a while and when I came to check on it, it was done. Michael
Destraex1
True. But these days you find servers time out the session if you are too long or that the connection literally becomes saturated and drops because of the number of hops. It's all good it will probably work. What I need is WEGO based downloading

Michael I bought my 1st thumb drive (512M for $60) so I could sneaker-net my CMBB turns to work and use their internet instead of via dialup at home. It's still in the desk drawer right here [looking at it now]. At the time the only high speed internet in the neighborhood was cable TV and I had Dish.
