altipueri
I don't usually play RT - see other thread. But I thought I would have a go at Cats And Dogs in RT. Anyway, all was going well, so I went downstairs to make a cup of tea as we Brits do, leaving the war to get on with itself (one advantage of RT I had rather forgotten about) when I came back to my horror one of my crews had bailed out and was sitting around doing nothing when they should have been taking pot shots at the enemy. I realised I had pressed the space bar, and intending to tell him to "open up" I had accidentally hit "bail out" - and could I get them to bail back in? No. So I shot them for cowardice. Was that a bit harsh do you think?
George MC
Not sure about this. a/ unless the AFV is KOd you should get them back in - unless they are panicked etc b/ you can't target your own troops. c/ has drink been taken?
ZPB II
Select a crew and give them a movement order into the AFV in question...If it's still usable, they'll hop back in...
George MC
Oh meant to add - in my experience you don't have to shoot em. As soon as the poor buggers hop in they inevitably are killed when what hit em in the first place suddenly 'sees' em again and blows em sky high...
Nidan1
Does a bailed out of vehicle that has not been totally destroyed look "dead" to a unit that can target it? In other words will the AI keep firing at an empty tank or just ignore it. This would be similar to the "death clock" in CMx1 where it might take a turn or two for a mortally wounded vehicle to look "dead"

Latest example is that I had dismounted my guys out of a halftrack so they could use the PIAT, soon an AI King Tiger trundled down the road and fired 2 rounds into the empty, dismounted halftrack until it caught fire.
