I have a situation in a game I'm playing where my panzerfaust teams have run into a few problems, and now I have two situations where I have the guy alive carrying the ammo, or the chap carrying the launcher, but not both. So whilst fritz is standing there in the bushes with a perfect shot at the enemy sherman mowing down his comrades, Heinz just refuses to share the rockets he is carrying for his dead teammate because fritz and heinz don't have the same commander... You already get a whole bunch of things that are compensated for by the "nonsense". Until those other features (instant acquire, infinite flexibility in ammo format) have been resolved, you're going to be limited on who will share with whom. All you need is someone with an eidetic memory so then memorize hundreds of thousands of lines of code, put him (or her - must be egalitarian) through MIT so they become a crack programmer, and they could solve the issues with a few lines of code in minutes... One of the teams that has a launcher is actually a MG team, but they administered the panzerfaust team leader that had taken fire, and nicked his launcher (and probably his wallet and watch) during the minute or two before the ammo carrier got back to him to patch him up and grab the launcher.
