Gamer58
What's your weapon of choice? M10 GMC? M3 GMC? Are they in the game? Can't see them - so if you know the missions let me know. My QB is defunct (see my other thread in the tech support forum). I need some M10 action
phil stanbridge
The M3 is certainly in the game as I have used it many times in the beta. I like the punch from the 75mm HE and to an extent the fact it is 'open' means you have half decent ability to spot things. But that 75 AP round - hmmm not so sure how good that is against German armour unless you are close.. The M10 is obviously the tank killer of choice. But as I played the beta to death and haven't really had a chance to delve into the game proper until now, I'm not even sure if it is available
Michael Emrys
Not really too up on this myself, but ISTR someone posting a couple of months back that no M10s were brought to Sicily. Michael
womble
I don't think it was in service with the Americans in Sicily, so it's not in the OOB for CMFI. It'll surely appear in the next module though, as the formations using it did fight on the boot.
John Kettler
I find no evidence here of even one M10 TD battalion in Sicily. From what I can tell, the battalions receiving M10s, which debuted, recall, at El Guettar, Tunisia, were busy working up prior to and throughout the Sicilian Campaign, which is why they aren't in the core CMFI game. The older M3 GMCs were plentiful, had experienced crews, so were apparently used while better weapons were introduced and the crews schooled, preparatory to the invasion of Italy. http://www.bensavelkoul.nl/tank_destroyers_Story.htm Regards, John Kettler
