Apocal
Are there any available that cover primarily one core force throughout the Normandy campaign? I prefer to stick with one force because it kinda breaks my immersion to be playing as C Co, 31st Battalion one fight, then the next I'm in charge of a cav troop and after that, I'm part of a tank battalion. I ran through the repository, but nothing immediately stuck out. Thanks in advance for your time.
Erwin
The German campaigns tend to keep the same units and you have to be economical with ammo and men and equipment as you often don't much resupply.
womble
The German campaigns tend to keep the same units and you have to be economical with ammo and men and equipment as you often don't much resupply. This is mostly true of Courage and Fortitude, too. The vast majority of your battles are undertaken with the same Battalion, at least, and depending on the route you take, even the same Company up front (for which you will be cursing the Bttn CO after a while, as your attrited A Company has to keep making headway, with the lily-white hands of C Company never dirtied by anything as mundane as cordite residue or mud.
Sublime
I think Devils Descent by Field Marshall Blucher would fit your bill well. Easily one of the top 3 CMBN campaigns IMO. However I do not think you'll find what you.re looking for viz a long campaign. Any campaign really only will cover a period of several battles - at most a week or two.
