GerryCMBB
Hello All: I know some stuff in the game is abstracted. I am wondering about units firing into/out of buildings from a wall where there are windows/doors. I am not thinking about the units being further back from the windows compared to CMBN 1.0. I have seen a unit fire out where there does not appear to be an aperture. And I have my unit outside the building that can see them. So I don't understand this, especially the latter part. Thanks, Gerry
Childress
Were the units in a Barn? These buildings are completely porous by design. But the feature is not mentioned in the Manual.
Erwin
Apparently CM2 models damage to buildings (that we can't actually see natch) and hence it is possible with said damaged building to see and fire into and out of when there is no obvious aperture.
JonS
Apparently CM2 models damage to buildings (that we can't actually see natch) Eh? CM buildings have ... three(?) levels of damage displayed quite clearly.
Boche
I think he is reffering to the abstracted damage

Sometimes troops in a building are constrained in their firing positions and LOS to the available windows and doors. Other times they line up opposite the blank wall and fire out. I guess the building 3D representation still needs some work (though it's better than having the doors and windows in different directions entirely, between internal and visual representation) and so long as the lines are reciprocal, we'll just have to live with it til every combination of building, frontage, facing etc has been "bugchecked".
