z1812
I am curious about version 2.0 content for CMBN. If my understanding is correct, and CMBN as well as CW maps will not work in Version 2.0, then what will be the situation in regards to content when one upgrades? Will new scenarios and campaigns be supplied with the upgrade?
SlowMotion
Why wouldn't CMBN / CW maps work in 2.0? Who would buy the "upgrade" if their existing game maps stopped working?
Michael Emrys
I am curious about version 2.0 content for CMBN. If my understanding is correct, and CMBN as well as CW maps will not work in Version 2.0, then what will be the situation in regards to content when one upgrades? Will new scenarios and campaigns be supplied with the upgrade? By definition, upgrades have no content. I.e., no maps, no units, no scenarios. Upgrades only change the functionality of the game system. It is not known at the present moment whether the pre-existing maps will work under v2 or how well. My guess is that they won't. The good news is that it will be easier to recreate them in the new editor than it would have been previously. Michael
Sergei
I think you can put it this way: if the upgrade renders all the earlier content unplayable, tha would prove that BFC is the most incompetent game company in all history. Now, what do you think it's going to be?
SlowMotion
Yes, that would be one "upgrade"
LJFHutch
I seriously doubt maps won't work in the new version.
Michael Emrys
Apparently Field Marshal Blücher agrees with you. Michael
