Stele
Hey guys, I was wondering what resources you guys use for creating scenarios? Recently I've been digging through my issues of Armchair General and found some great ideas to convert to CMBN scenarios. There are some limitations (ie-OOB, dates, locations), but I'm able to adapt and modify them to fit into CMBN. From what I'm seeing, Armchair General magazine seems to like covering CMBN and other wargames out there. http://www.armchairgeneral.com/armchair-general-inspired-scenarios-for-the-combat-mission-game-series
Michael Emrys
After the Battle would be hard to beat, especially the first couple of years that they published...if you can find those issues. Michael
Blazing 88's
From a post I had in the CMBN forum previously: Wargamer's Digest, circa late 1970's - late 1980;s): http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=100026
gunnergoz
Armor Magazine's WW2 issues, if you can find them in a library, are probably an excellent source for scenarios.
chas_in_mlb
Ballantine's mammoth collection of histories of the Second World War are plentiful and cheap. Go check out any used book store and you'll see loads of them. Probably for $2 each. LIST of the issues. Pretty extensive.

In places they may be a bit outdated by more recent scholarship, but most are classics worth reading anyway. Michael

Michael Very true, Michael I have several of their books...the ones on Panzers in Normandy and Battle of the Bulge are just crammed full of battles, maps, images (then and now of course) and lots of loving details by history grogs that know their stuff. Just go to afterthebattle.com and drool a bit. US orders have to go through RZM.com but they too are well worth a visit. When I win the lotto, I plan to clean out RZM's warehouse.
Gen Von Television
If you can read French here they have some very interesting publications: Militaria Hors Series, Batailles...
