Combat mission demo at Gamespot

I don't think many Mac folks go to Gamespot for their downloads (if they even host Mac ones anymore). There are far more "friendlier" places to go for them. We've had the demo on those sites since the week of release. I don't think any have counters on them though. We of course have also had the Mac demo for download.

What's wrong with you people.. why do you own Mac's anyway? Did you know that the Mac's are actually a project started by the aliens to find out who's stupid enough to buy one. When they've investigated in on enough people they will invade the earth and kill off all Mac owners. Acopolypse in year 2000.. yeah this is it people. You still got some days to sell or throw out your machines though smile.gif

Howard, you have it wrong. While the rest of the computer world is having its Apocolypse in 2000, Macs were created by someone with BRAINS and therefore are all set until the year 2048 (or something like that) smile.gif

BTW, here is the REAL story about the Aliens and Macintoshes. What they really did was plant Bill Gates (an alien of course!) on this planet to sieze economic power in prepration for an invasion. Ever notice how easy it is to break into NT servers (the US Army switched to Macs BTW)? This is so the Aliens can hack into companies and take them over on the Chosen Day. Us Mac owners are on their list for ill treatment for sure though. They don't like us because we think for ourselves smile.gif

Seriously, I feel sorry for the SOBs that still are using Win95 or *gasp* Win3.1, not to mention the poor sods that have the original version of Win98 and aren't savvy enough to know that there is a "maintenence pack" to make it Y2K compliant. Seeing as Win 2000 isn't going to ship on time, it is every man for himself!

Steve

P.S. CM is made on a Mac and ported to Windows smile.gif

Hah I knew that would make some of you angry smile.gif (well maybe not angry).

No I've never had a Mac myself so I can't really say something about it but an editor in CGW said it best. He was tired of being faithfull with Mac's while all his friends got to play the coolest games serveral years before him (if they were released at all for Mac), so he bought a PC finally. That's the problem in a nutshell I think.

I've actually heard people that knows Mac's quite well saying that it's really good machines but they wouldn't trade it with their PC anyway.

Moriarty said

"And regarding the dire predictions of the Apocolypse...I think Gen. Anthony MacAuliffe said it best: Nuts."

You better watch out, Moriarty. There will be a rain of Hellfire and Damnation, and the Beast will walk the land, making the unclean and faithless pay for their transgressions.

Plus which, the cable might go out, making it impossible to watch any of the upcoming bowl games.

Umm, isn't that like the same thing to you Americans?

Missing football= some sort of damnation wink.gif. Even my WIFE likes American football (a game I have very little time for). Unfortunately for me she HATES the European sports I watch.. There's no justice in this world I tell ya.

You find someone who likes sports but then find she likes all the ones you NEVER watch (except that I got her hooked on Formula 1 Grand Prix hehe wink.gif )

blah blah blah little children, my dad can kick your dad's ass...haha

we used macs at school, they still do, and they made me feel dumb...'cause like they were so simple that it hurt, but that might be 'cause my school was a bunch of cheap bastards and their macs sucked, you tell me.

No,it's just you get used to complex then you go to simple and it seems so simple that you can't comprehend it.I don't know,I'm only 17,you can't understand everything I say sometimes I guess.I don't fully explain my point.I'm not saying macs suck, just the ones our school had, they felt cramp and not much freedom, but that just may be the sys. they had set up on it.

Ahh, yeah I can understand, my firt comp was a 486 w/ windows 3.1, woo those were the days. That computer was far outdated when I got it.So I learned those windows and DOS,I knew all the crap for DOS then(you get me on DOS now and I'm clueless). Then I used my friend's computer which had Win95,used macs a little in school, then once we got to highschool everything had win95,then 98.Those were some fun times, for the first two years, they had no security stuff on there,so we were putting our own, deleting people's disks through network('cause all the comps were networked together)putting are own programs on there, formatting the hd's,etc etc...then last year they finally got a security sys. on it,now you can't even change the colours...we had our fun.

I wouldn't mind having one of those new Imacs
