benpark
I've finally used RezExplode, and I'm looking through the US infantry uniform files. I ran a quick "hue/saturation" adjustment in Photoshop on one of the uniforms. I checked it in game and it doesn't show, rendering the areas that I modded invisible. While it was interesting to see the little pixel troops without helmets, it's not the desired effect. I saved as a .bmp and double checked my sizing etc (I really didn't do much beyond the above adjustment)- anything else that may have gone amiss?
Marco Bergman
The most likely reason is that you have some partial transparency in the texture. This will cause this effect every time. In GIMP you need to set threshold alpha to 254 (out of 255) to force all-or-nothing transparency.
benpark
That did it, thanks Marco. Not sure how that alpha channel got there, but removing it did the trick.
Mord
I had this happen with helmets once...I'd saved one as 32 bit instead of 24 and I had some soldiers with helmets and some without...LOL drove me crazy trying to figure out what I'd done.
