  1. I believe they stated somewhere that the work will resume after the conflict in ukraine is concluded. Don't worry king, the russian army will collapse in 3, maybe 4 days tops. Been saying it since this it kicked off in february.
  2. @BFCElvis @Battlefront.com Thank you for the update. Also I'm sorry for my tone in the other thread.
  3. Erm, where have you been for the past 20 or so odd years? Have you seen Iraq and Syria? Congo? Mali? This isn't anything new. And last I checked This is a forum about a game.
  4. F&R would disagree with you. Everyone went silent for the most part ever since this war broke out, call me a troll all you want, at the end of the day we're here to play a game and I'm concerned about the future of my favorite game series.
  5. When's the last time we got an engine upgrade?
  6. So I guess the work on every CM title has just stopped so we can pretend we're defense analysts now? I have read everything in this thread from one crackhead schizoposting about crisis actors and ancient alien bullsh*t to several of you speculating about the possible deployments of WMD's and other such nonsense. Can we please get back to creating more content for the game?
  7. IIRC they have 1 contract with the British. That's it. If the workload is ramping up like yall say it is then it surprises me that they're even talking to us to begin with.
  8. I appreciate his input. He was right in the fact that he called this war a decade ago, and I think that makes him worth listening to to some extent. Also he makes my favorite game. I'm literally on here begging to give his company my money. I can understand not wanting to release the BS module in light of current events. But what does the war in Ukraine have to do with the Soviet Union? The country doesn't exist. So I'm curious as to why has all of the work stopped on Red Thunder and Cold War? When's the module coming out for Final Blitzkrieg?
  9. most intelligent thing I've read in this thread. I've also taken the liberty of forwarding this over to the GRU as proof their psyop campaign is working.
  10. cool. but when's more content coming out? My wallet is ready to buy.
  11. So when are the modules coming out now? I imagine if we put all the bull **** in this thread and translated it into cm code we'd be on engine 17 by now.
  12. So, I'd start by sending out a scout team to take a look around. If something's there, I'd drop mortars on the buildings (or area target the top floor with the tanks) to suppress whoever's inside, move infantry up to the hedgerow and give them area target commands on the buildings You could also bring along sappers to blast a hole in the hedgerows and open it up for your tanks.
  13. oh I know how to do it. I'd just like to see the process be streamlined and I think BFC has the ability to do that. I remember hearing about a convoy command that would move vehicles in column formation automatically. As for the infantry, it's not really pathfinding problem. My issue is with the spacing of the individual soldiers. Like I said earlier, I find that Infantry has a tendancy to blob up when you move them over long distances. The first mission in the Road to Nijmegen campaign in BN, where you have to send your paratroopers across big open fields is a good example of what I'm talking about. I've seen spotting rounds and MG's devastate entire squads or platoons because they weren't keeping their intervals. It's just a small quality of life improvement is all.
  14. It might be a bit outside the scope of cm but I would also like to see Illumination munitions modeled in game. It'd probably be more practical in the ww2 games or for armies that don't have much in the way of night vision. After playing the South African campaign in FI, I'd like to select an afv and have the option to select how many rounds I'm going to shoot at a particular target, (in addition to regular target commands) and what kind of ammunition I'm going to use. Obviously this wouldn't be too practical for vehicles equipped with autocannons and mg's, but it would be useful for tanks, assault guns, howitzers, mortars etc. I understand that "target briefly" is a thing but sometimes I don't want to shoot a target with my coax, and I only want to shoot it once. Just a to have a bit more control over ammunition consumption and ration it out in situations where you have to make your supplies last. I'd also like to see the addition of formation orders for infantry squads as well as vehicles. I think Moving vehicles in column formation is a bit tedious as it is, and when I'm playing with a lot of units on the map a traffic jam or infantry blob is going to be inevitable unless I meticulously give every single unit in the battalion pause commands and waypoint orders. Just a small QoL improvement to help you get to the fight a bit quicker.
  15. From the way things are going across the military, they seem to emphasize speed over everything else. That and it's also still being tested, the final product may end up looking completely different.
  16. @John KettlerWas the blast from the German nuclear device at Kursk less than 700 yards? Seeing as how wireless detonation didn't exist yet, do you suppose they triggered the explosive it by firing a tracer round into it? It couldn't have been that big because as we all know it was constructed by Jewish slaves and transported to the front in the back of an opel blitz. Regards, Amadeupname1
