Do you think that a 1070 will benefit more over a 1060 6Gb, Than Fast RAM. It will be 16Gb in any of the speeds. Regards Richard

Well, it´s only when there is those big battles with AFV´s. So for me, it is almost always . And the time for a new computer has come, Just want know what to put there

For now, i only play RT Quick battles against the AI at Warrior level. The last time i played WEGO was with CMBB and CMAK. I really should try it again

Not that they move slowly, but they set their waypoint, like 15-30 meters forward at a time. And then wait for 1-2 min at each waypoint before moving on to the next. But when they move, they move as they should. I just want to improve performance, thats all Regards Richard

Inf vs inf, is not a problem. But tanks and halftracks move like snails if the battle is to big.

But the question was the computer, right? What does the most impact in CM?

And on that small map, maybe only 500-900 on each side.

Well, on a dense fog map, they wont fire at the same time. But that was just the smallest example. regularly it is on maps bigger than that.

But far from all of my battles is that big obviously. But when i buy a new computer, i just want to know what to invest in, for the distant future to.

2000 guys are no problem. But 2000 guys on each side are, especially if they have AFV´s or tanks. Then the AFV´s and tanks moves like snails. The tanks, and HF on the enemy side moves like snails if there are more than a total of 1500-2000 men.

When i have problems with fps, it is only when i do my favorite quick battles. 1000-2000 soldiers on each side. "Only infantery battles works good", But even a few armored vehicles (like 15-30), and they move like on adhesive, in those large battles. In smaller battles, like company vs company its no problem. Even when PzGr with HT and even tanks as support attack an similar force.

Yes Nvidia is the one i will use. It is a 1060 6Gb, or 1070 8Gb. Do you think/know that the 1070 will make more difference, over the 1060, than a SSD over a HDD in CM?

Yeah i was told the same in the FI thread. But what about the rest of the computer? Fast RAM, does it matter? GPU, GF1060 6Gb or 1070 8Gb. Will i notice any difference? HDD or SSD? I will surely buy an SSD for the C:. But i wonder if an SSD will make a difference as a game disk to?

It´s only fore CM i wonder. I play Arma 3 sometimes also. But CM takes most of my precious time . And that´s where i have most problem with low FPS. So for CM games, The 7700K is the fastest CPU right now?

I have not bought CMFI yet. I intend to do so tomorrow. And i will but the bundle with Gustav Line. When i buy that tomorrow. IF I understand you right, i dont have to buy engine 3 uppgrade? That big installer is engine 4 out of box (well download) or did i missunderstood you? I bought engine 4 big bundle, since i have alredy RT, BS and FB.

When I buy the CMFI+GL bundle. Do i need to buy the engine 3 upgrade as well? I have the engine 4 big bundle allready.
