Final Blitzkrieg for Matrix/Steam (December/January) - last, but not least, the final CM2 Family of games will be released for Matrix/Steam with PBEM and Tournament systems. At the same time we'll release a new Module that will extend the timeframe through to the end of the war and introduce Commonwealth Forces plus the last ditch forces of the Third Reich.
Update: so about another years wait, will be waiting for the normandy battlepack to come out in the next month or two and Italy in the fall of this year

Means more hedgerows?
Gentlemen, time to get your hedgerow tactics down.
-
Good news! Early Normandy stuff you say? I hope beach maps are added, the one thing normandy family was missing, was storming off the beach and the early towns after.
Is this the first time a game family reverts backwards to the early part of the war? Cool you guys stick to finishing something out in total.

yeah well smoke and sound gives off their position, that's why AT guns are easy to spot. Real life back then as well.
-
same thing with tank radios getting knocked out when hits are somewhere else, or all optics gone when only 1 is damaged. After 2 years I think since a patch we have been adding many things like this so hopefully the team can fix. But there are engine limitations as well, and after 2 years we can assume it is that.

... and after it was it and being abandoned maybe already one of those happened if it wasn't leaking already. No tank crew is going to stick around a tank with leaking fumes or fuel.
-
Don't forget fumes and leaking fuel systems ww2 tanks had that problem

I'm back to this after some CMCW. Do people still think it's worth playing compared to the more recent games?
Thanks
A lot of us are just waiting for updates on the WW2 stuff and hopefully a new CMFB module closing the war. It was a shock to see a cold war game come out.

I too am starting with the training campaign...
... I also tried out some [snow] tagged effects.
Easily the most annoying weapons sound mod I have heard.

Anyone have this years footage? Dunno if impacted by Covid. Here it is from a couple years back in ParisEDIT : Woops that footage was not D-Day but the liberation of Paris, still great footage, we will have to wait a couple of months...
If your town/city is having celebrations or parade post!
Interested in seeing the old vehicles.

On the new Blitzkrieg mod, I would say a lot of models have already been completed with fire and rubble. Maybe not.
-
I would have bought this but already had this experience with Operation Flashpoint it's piles and piles of mods years ago

Kettenkrad and Pak36 crew or puppchen crew maybe this is for the eastern front? early normandy or Italy module?
-
On German soil did equipment and armor from the Eastern front get moved to defend the western side of Germany. As we know US didn't see many variants of German tanks and half tracks as the Soviets did. Did Germany have it's own armor and units to defend the land that never left the country? I think this would have been hard to do with dual front war. Were German factories pushing tanks out like the soviets did or was production impossible due to bombing? What factories were still outputting armor? What was the situation for fuel and ammo?

The name is "Stuart" or "Stinkpot" never "stuart".. My granddad didn't defeat Mad Addy for me to have to endure life in the Dictatorship of the Semi-literate.

It's a 37mm rapid fire anti material gun. What are you talking about?
.. believe it or not the velocity was lower than the 37mm on the stuart tank and who knows for rounds could be HE. Against aircraft very deadly. Against tanks....

I would have thought the mobelwagon would have chopped right through that M10
no dude, not powerful enough.

I engaged from far away. Why do you assume it would damage an m10? I don't think I took fire from the moblewagon, but another AA truck.

I wasn't aware there was a new module on its way. CMFB is my favourite of the series! Do we have any details about the new module?
They have been pretty silent on it.

On the HT topic, the HT gunners are instantly killed while being mp40 sniped across map. That's half a man visible.
