  1. This is something you should try for yourself. I attempted a before and after but was unable to capture the sharpness. I run an older 760. The sharpness doesn't show in screenshots but it is definitely there .

edit I tried .70 and then full on 1.0 for sharpness and even that is a leap

  2. Its in the huge PDF manual, found in your installation folder.

however I could not find where the manual mentions anything about target armor arc command, dunno if it has been updated to reflect this after the recent ai patches.

edit: It is not in the normandy manual but it was in the blitzkrieg manual

(although normandy now supports this now)

"An alternative to Target Arc is Target Armor Arc. It functions the same as Target Arc, except
that a unit with this command will only engage enemy armored vehicles within its arc, and
will leave soft targets like infantry alone. This is useful if you do not want your anti-tank
weapons to reveal themselves too soon against enemy scouts."

    target arc

"Any visible enemy units that are located inside this area, or that move into this
area, will be fired upon. Any enemy units outside of this target arc will be
ignored (until self-preservation takes over and the Tactical AI decides to
override player orders; e.g. if an enemy unit suddenly pops up at extremely
    short range)."

"is also useful to keep a unit’s “attention” focused on a specific
part of the game map while it moves. If, for example, you want to keep a
close eye on a bunch of buildings (where you suspect enemy activity) while
driving down a road, you could assign a target arc to several units covering
this area. The target arc increases the chances that units will recognize and
engage an enemy threat within the target area quickly"

setting a target arc with vehicles make it so the acquisition time is less, so the tank, rifle or mg doesn't have to swing its barrel around to shoot, the barrel is already pointed at the center of the target arc you set. So yes it makes it so it can shoot faster.

I am assuming that my tank would not fire if the enemy tank moved out of the target arc even though my tank still had a LOS on that enemy tank.

    Thanks.

That is where self-preservation takes over and the Tactical AI decides to
    override player orders takes place.

I never use any of the target arcs but manage out just fine staying hull down or hidden with opening up and closing the hatch in a quick pattern to see targets. I know there are great benefits to it that I am missing, but the AI and skill of the soldier do a pretty good job now.

Yes, but it could be removed so I don't mind.

The handle on the BAR was added after WW2, so it was used during the Korean War.

You can exchange the model with the M1919A6 from CMBN or CMFI. I've done it and it fixes the double bipod.

    Ok I will try it

I recall, or perhaps grossly mis-recall, a (real world) kills-per-shot statistic. Bolt action rifles averaged 8 rounds fired per casualty produced. Semi auto was closer to 20. Full auto would climb into the hundreds or rounds fired per casualty. Again, this is something I read once long ago and my numbers may be entirely off. But you get the general point.

..... Also you have to really plan your artillery well as Brazilian EF on this one, helps a bunch.

  5. Just finished all the sp battles as allies, I would not move on with the next battle until I won.....

    A definite BUY

OUTSTANDING maps and battles, your heart will sink deep as you are chasing an enemy tank over the ridge wondering if the dust will clear in time enough for your shot to leave the tank barrel instead of his...

  6. not sure if the model is accurate but looks like you could use a pistol to do it if the hatch was propped open... maybe the tigers rear hatch was down or open?

What about fuel/fumes leaking form the rear engine area? If fumes ignites it follows the fuel right back into the tank! So many possibilities guys.

my chart says even an m9a1 garand ATRG  can just penetrate 80mm of armor, and looking at this picture if it does stream through not much is going to stop those shells 88mm shells from cooking off.

Or maybe the story has it confused with an m20 armored car which looks similar. A bazooka can pop out from an m20 and kill a king tiger via rear turret or rear chasis.

Many m20s had bazookas and bazooka teams in them

ohhhh, that battle.  Yeah, I lost badly first time.  Then added 6 more shermans and some halftracks and played again -- I won't call it cheating, I'll call it regrouping and getting reinforcements.  And it was still a rough fight.  Italian terrain certainly favors the defender.

Yikes. My opinion is that the scenario maker gave more than enough resources as allies to win.

  8. I never reloaded saves. played twice. I got beat the first time bad playing it. I had to do the only thing the allies could do in the situation. A lot of pausing and planning before and during the battle really helps.  I'll let the other players figure out what to do if they have not already

when taking the south bridge as allies they just crawl and crawl and crawl while on the bridge itself they teleport to different spots on it as well. you can see where one road meets the other on the bridge itself. Could be a fix to the tank crossing bridge problem and/or teleporting units.
