I mean that the number of NVGs that appear in game (mostly less) is different from the number that is displayed in the panel.
For example, if you have an infantry squad, 2 will be displayed, but you will only see one model on the battlefield.
The opposite of the CMSF2 Syrian Special Forces bug, so to speak, where one is shown in the panel, but everyone has one.I think what might be happening is that the second NV device is weapon mounted, but I will double check this.

Thank you CptMiller. All variants for all Vehicles would be a bit.. too work intensive. So if you can choose, which one should it be?
Ahh ok I understand. This is a proof of concept.
Hmm if I had to choose I would say it’s a toss up between V1 (which looks like the actual summer MERDC) and V5 which I think looks like a great subdued, weathered tone.

These look fantastic!
My advice would be to release all of the camo schemes in a pack and just let players choose which they want to use.

YVAN EHT NIOJ! Outstanding, glad you guys are enjoying it. It was a lot of work to pull this thing together but it was probably the most fun I have had "at work" in years. I hope it brings you all enjoyment for many hours.
Same here!
This is definitely at the top of my CM games list. Makes sense, seeing as I was one of those obnoxious people here who kept begging for it over the years!

Is it intended that not all available NVGs of a US-squad always appear on the models?
Or do I have to make a list? I think an example would be the heavy MG group ...Not everyone in a squad/team has NVGs in this title. In a US squad there are generally only two NVG devices.
Are you saying that sometimes the NVGs aren’t appearing at all?

Will we eventually see the ability to bring Soviet SPGs such as the 2S3 into battle? For scenarios it would be useful as an objective to destroy, and doctrinally the Soviets would keep the artillery forward from what I can tell. The 2S3 is even noted as being useful in a secondary anti-tank defense role. I guess high-caliber HEAT has its use, heh!
Thanks for the new releases! I'll have to wait for the bundle on Red Thunder, but digging into CW now. And Rome Remastered just came out... Feast or famine!
Moreso the 2S1s than the 2S3s, but yes that was a doctrinal role for SPG's in the Soviet army. Though, it was more for immediate direct fire (think of assault guns in WWII blasting fortifications) as opposed to antitank work. That was a purely last resort defensive consideration.
I personally asked to include the 2S1 as an on map asset, but it was not to be for this title. Not sure if there are future plans for it though.

Browsing it there is an interesting page about the possible F-19 that was actually the F-117 in reality (the book as can be seen is from 1987 and the F-117 was not revealed until 1988)... That old F-19 Stealth Fighter game from one year after this book looks a bit like it... The text translated starts with "Certain information is available about this "invisible" aircraft that is developed using so called stealth technology. The project is protected with great secrecy so very little information is available about it...".
Ha, that is really cool!

The file is .rar / .pkg files are dated 4/29/21 on the downloader page, so I submit that those who guessed Thursday the 29th are technically correct!
.. Is anyone buying that?
I'll allow it, for what that's worth.

Would it be possible to give us a model of the LAW that isn't in the deployed configuration? I know the engine can't handle swapping between them but if I had to choose I would prefer to have it in the stowed configuration since that's how it'll be 99% of the time.
This has been discussed before. Not sure if a consensus has been reached yet, but for what it is worth I agree, I think they should be in their collapsed state.

Thanks for pointing these out everyone. We are taking notes!

@The_Capt what difficulty do you think the game is played best? are you a fan of the iron setting? also thanks for putting in the work, my download is still taking a bit
I can't speak for Warren, but I myself prefer Iron. I think it gives a much better idea of the situational awareness for my own troops. I always play the game in WeGo, so I can see my whole force as normal during the command phase as well, so there really is no downside to playing Iron. Again, in my opinion.

Not at the moment but we are tracking it. It appeared very late in development and we thought it was fixed. Somehow it unfixed itself for the release build. Its been added to the list for a first post release patch, which is being worked on now.

you guys are killing me -- I have no access code AND I have to work ~8 more hours, while y'all are having fun. It's killing me.
If you pre-ordered it, Elvis sent you your activation code a while ago. I think it was a month ago or so now.

Someone else mentioned this, so I'll note it as a bug for now

Was this also true for their WARSAW Pact allies? I assume so but maybe the East Germans had other thoughts. I would love to see them and the Poles in the game. And some Soviet Naval Infantry.
Moreso. The Warsaw Pact allies were, behind the curve on most things to put it nicely.

Its something to do with the custom model that was made, but others are free to mess around with it.

So the Hinds were meant for CAS? Those seem made to help the infantry on the tip of the spear.
Yes, the Soviets intended to use helicopters as their close air support. That said, they are also a relatively rare asset. Artillery is the real money maker for the Soviets.

I'm actually deeply impressed with the helmet mod, but the shine breaks immersion for me. I hope this is not taken wrong ...
I tried my best to get rid of the shine, not sure why it is there.

Soviet airpower shows up for the flair, but remember that doctrinally the Soviets never intended to use fixed wing aircraft in a close air support role. They were intended for deep strikes, far from the battlefield in most cases.
Still though, they are a lot of fun to use and a terror to defend against.

This is a known issue that we are tracking. Hoping that a proper SSh-68 model is done up and added to the game at some point in a future patch.

I had the earliest time on April 30th, so I shall claim victory.
But, as @mbarbaric says above, a CM release is a win for all of us.
Congrats, you get the coveted POTB! (Pat On The Back)

Mikey, I just completed the second download and still can't extract files. I tried using WinRar and Rar Opener and neither works. What extractor are you using?
I use 7zip and never have a problem, and it’s free. Give that a try.

It could be that a model is not showing up when it should be, whether it be the NVG on the guys face or a night sight on the weapon. Like I said, it'll have to be investigated, but it is on the list of things to look into.
