  1. Thanks a bunch for the suggestion. Yea I will definitely do better lol. Good thing is I found a saved file of the map that was half finished so I’ve been working on it. Should have it ready soon hopefully.
  2. Thanks for the kind comments guys. In my infinite wisdom I was editing it some more and saved it. I then went to a core file to check something and make an adjustment and being the idiot that I am saved it with the same file name so it wrote over my work of art and now I have 100x100 map lol. After throwing up from destroying 50 hours of design time I decided I will work on something else and come back to this project at a later date.
  3. After a campaign is broken into the seperate scenarios it gives a list and folder of the scenarios but doesn't show the beginning file with the core units. If these scenarios are edited and then recompiled as a campaign does it still carry core units forwards as it did in the original campaign? The scenarios are all named the same as in the original campaign. Or do I have to create a new core mission and reload everything back just like a new campaign.
  4. Yes I have been adding in some grass and terrain details since I posted this. I will add flavor objects once I decide whether to break the map into segments for each individual battle or keep it as one big map. That way I won't have to reposition the pesky flavor objects lol.
  5. For me the script ran in the terminal and said it was successful. However the activation screen does not appear. The game litself loads fine with the 2.10 patch.
  6. Ive had this map of the Fullujah Jolan District on my hard drive for over a year working on it little by little. It's still being tweaked. I would like your thoughts on it. Ive tried to keep it reasonably accurate and still make it playable. It is 1376m wide and 1440m deep. It included the rail station and the large cemetery. To do the cemetery and not having the typical burial facilities that Iraq used, I had to improvise by creating the tombs with the smallest single story buildings in the editor and submerging them into the ground. Then make them all look the same. It's not perfect but hopefully will give the impression of a large cemetery. Since I am planning on making a campaign of the battle I would like some thoughts. I can use the entire map and have the action at battalion level combat with a lot of moving pieces, or cut the map in sections for a smaller scale action. Or a combination of both. Obviously for those who are not fans of MOUT combat this will not appeal too. But for those that do it should be a urban slugfest. Anyway here is the link to some quick screenies so take a look and let me know what some thoughts are.   8. This fixed my problem completely. All units are now named correctly. Thanks for the efforts in resolving this.
  9. I tried removing all mods, everything except the regular data stuff. Also did a clean install of the game. I am using a iMac system. Is there no way to get it back to version 1.06?

  11. Thanks Dave. Yea I tried to reinstall but no luck. How can I get a download version of 1.06? This makes the game almost unplayable with the weird unit designations.
  12. I am having a similar issue where my units have WW2 names ( tanks named Tiger, Marder etc for both Blue and Red forces. The link appears dead is their another way to access the file?

  15. Thanks MikeyD. I tried several of those but no go. All other CM installs went fine just not sure why Red Thunder isn't playing well with others. My download link is for an earlier version of RT so not sure if that is an issue or not. Also tried what the help desk suggested but it didn't work. Guess Im not meant to play CMRT anymore lol.
  16. I am trying to reinstall CMRT on my iMac. When I click the Red Thunder dmg file it opens an installer asking me to drag the Red Thunder folder into the applications folder. Once I do it attempts to install but then gives an error 36 code saying it can't read some of the files or data. Any suggestions?

  18. Hi hypeman. Its been so long since I updated it I can't remember. I don't believe I adjusted anything for the final mission, mainly the first one and a few glitches in some of the middle missions. You have a good point as I remember designing that last mission and I recall questioning myself about force alignment and such. I think I set it that way due to what I anticipated the attrition rate through the campaign might be and didn't want the player trying to tackle the last mission with a platoon remaining lol. I may look at maybe adjusting the last mission in the future. Thanks for playing it.

  20. Ive tried to get a map overlay to show up in the editor and have been unsuccessful. It is named special_editor_overlay.bmp and it is in the data/z folder. Any suggestions? I am using a iMac to run the game.
