Back to RT instead of WEGO. No WEGO means IGO. They tried RT only (pretty much since WEGO was a gigantic mess) when the original SF came out and they figured out pretty quickly that RT was not their bread and butter (or they would not have invested so much work into improving WEGO)

Sorry to pop in and post something without reading the thread to date but I'm reading "Armageddon in Stalingrad" by David Glantz and it is chock full of orders that are given to various size units in Stalingrad on a near daily basis and what results they actually achieved (a previous book detailed the drive to Stalingrad). It went from going miles in the drive to Stalingrad down to trying to take a single block by the end of the battle. The Russian plans were often nothing more then flights of fancy.
It is dry (Sahara Desert dry) reading for the most part but an excellent reference.

Port forwarding only needs setup on the hosting end.
Yes, Hamachi should be far easier to setup and use but both of you will have to use it.

Growing larger is risky - not a guarantee. Just as many companies go bankrupt from getting larger as are successful. That plus I don't think the people running BF want to become business managers any more then they have to.

I don't see any of these items needing CM3, they all seem possible in the CM2 engine. CM3 would be something along the lines of a 64bit engine under the hood or a brand new graphics engine.

I can't see the phrase "It's never too late" without hearing Diana and Marvin telling me to "stop look listen to your heart".... Ah, we were all so much younger then.
And I thought your Avatar was old...

Guys, you're obsessing over 2 battles. Unless it is seen in all cases (or even most cases.......certainly WAY more than just the 2 battles discussed here) then it isn't a bug. A bug needs to be something that can be recreated.
Can I quote you to my customers! They would LOVE that definition of a bug.
That little joke aside, I understand developer time is finite and tracking down the cause of such a rare problem is not the optimal use of that time.

I heard of Germans adding concrete armor to their tanks but that was a little silly.

I purchased all three (at roughly $16 it is pocket change pretty much). The, now, low resolution and old graphics are kind of an eyesore. Still great gameplay though.

The quick turnaround on this patch is much appreciated!

CM2's unique turn structure makes casual cheating nearly impossible. I'm sure a hacker could find a way to do so if they REALLY tried.

Everything in Minnesota looks like that if you leave it out overnight.

Are you saying the patch has been patched?
-
Put in a support ticket. BF will get it sorted out.
-
I'll give that a shot. Thanks!

I could have sworn the gun was attached to the transport, since it is a reinforcement that appears with the vehicle it would make sense that it was attached when it arrives. I may have been mis-remembering and it was always just limbered next to the vehicle.

Just played "A Delaying Action" with the latest patch and when the AT gun comes on (US) it says it is limbered and is near the transport vehicle it arrives with but is not attached. Am I misremembering that is was attached before?
-
Would be nice. I'm guessing the patch was a major holdup for everything else.
-
What have you patched for me lately..
I mean the 4.0 patches are roughly a week old now.
Bad joke mode off - I'm hoping this allows BF to open up some new releases fairly quickly.
-
I had this happen years ago, a quick ticket to BFC and all was well.

I use a 49" UHD TV for a monitor and it worked fine. It is an inexpensive Sceptre model so if it works I would expect just about anything would.
-
"Very" interesting.

Capturing objectives - in addition to what IanL said make absolutely SURE the opponent does not have any units in the objective area.

I suspect we are dealing with an older code base that is straining. There seems to be a lot of effort lately to consolidate core features after the fact. Perhaps to be better positioned for CM3... dunno. I'm an optimist that way.
The odd part was that CM1 had to go since it took so long to modify due to how models and data were stored. Hence CM2. Now we are two years into waiting for a patch due to how the models and data are stored...
Here is What I Dont Understand about BF?

The AI in the game is atrocious and there is no reasonable online or pbem possible with it. Hot Seat is really the only option.
