  1. As far as I could tell adding the [nation] suffix to the helmets didn't seem to work (but it does with boots). All helmets default to the British helmets (I had made Polish helmets but they wouldn't show up).

I don't think just adding whatever you like in the [*] works. I assume the scenario would need to specifically reference which uniform to use. But I am just guessing. I have no idea.

  2. British:

    Infantry

    Tropical

    Airborne

    Tropical shorts

    Canadian:

    Infantry

    Tropical

    Airborne

    Tropical shorts

    Polish:

    Infantry

    Tropical

    Airborne

    Tropical shorts

    New Zealand

    Infantry

    Tropical

    Tropical shorts

Not: Not sure if all of these are used at the moment in Gustav Line, e.g. Kiwi shorts and Polish airborne. Vanilla files were there for these guys though so I thought better to have them and not need them than to need them and not have them.

    Readme in zip.

    437mb... oof!

Should be up at Greenasjade.net imminently.

    V.

  3. Not really. You could replace some of the files but it would be a mish mashy mess.

Luckily for you though I will be releasing a GL version soon containing:

    British Inf/Tropical/Para/Tropical shorts

    Canadian Inf/Tropical/Para/Tropical shorts

    Polish Inf/Tropical/Para/Tropical shorts

    New Zealand Inf/Tropical/Tropical shorts

Nearly done, just trying to check them all out. May be released tomorrow.

    It's around 400mb. Ouch.

  4. I have uploaded my CMBN CW troops over at greenasjade.

    It's a hefty 207mb zip file containing:

    British inf/para/skins

    Canadian inf/para/skins

    Polish inf/para/skins

    CW gear

CW helmets mix / CW helmets all scrim.

Here's a pretty crap picture of some of them (too much vino tinto to be bothered to take better pics :o):

    7trx.jpg

  5. For the CMBN version:

    British Inf and Airborne done

    Canadian Inf and Airborne done

    For CMFI version:

    British Inf and Airborne done

    British Tropical Inf done

    British Tropical shorts done

    British Greatcoats done

    Canadian Inf and Airborne done

    Canadian Tropical Inf done

    Canadian Tropical Shorts done

HOWEVER... there seems to be a bug when using multiple skins for the British Infantry for both CMBN and CMFI: British troops show up mixed in with the Canadians and Polish. This is likely down to the fact that the British uniforms don't have a suffix on the bmp names, unlike the [Canadians] and [Polish] bmps as you don't get the same problem when using multiple Canadian or Polish skins.

I'm hoping a next patch may sort it out in which case I'll release the two complete mods. If not I MAY release just the Canadians and (when done) the Polish seperately.

  6. I have a 7850 2gb card (I believe). The in-game settings are full everything except models which are 'improved' as I really can't tell what 'better' and 'best' improve.

I am also running CMBN version 2 which adds some nice lighting. If anyone hasn't got it it's worth every penny to upgrade.

These skins will work with version 1 but as much of the folds are created on the normal map the skins will appear a lot flatter than in these shots.

They are the Duke of Cornwall Light Infantry (thanks to Darknight_Canuck for letting me know the amount of AOS bars for the unit).

  7. Looks like "Wessex" to me.

I have no idea what the patches below the divisional sign are.

I think he's decided to go for a very generalized look, rather than a particular unit.

Yeah, no particular regiment, maybe the 4th Dorsets. Any of the ones in Normandy or Market Garden.

  8. Vein,

That is really outstanding work. What graphics card are you using?

A 7800 series Radeon something or other. The pics have been through photoshop for background blurring and contrast adjustment.

I'll post some unadulterated shots over the weekend so you can see them in their current form absolutely 'as is'.
