It would require a development team and, in conclusion, for the modders it would be like making a complete video game.
Such things can be done.

Nice shooting kid, but don't get cocky

100% stopped on the bustle area.. 2-3 times...
and in a test I did ... this happened on a regular basis: 3 AT-13s stopped on the turret side with reactive armor hit text. Not the first time. In fact, in 5 tests and many hits, didnt see the side turret penetrated at all by an AT-13;
ALso notice the penetration decal on side hull with an empty ERA box, the tank wasnt penetrated by that hit. It wasnt even penetrated on the second hit at almost the same area despite ERA being blown away by the previous hit. No wonder M1s are hard to kill in the game !
Somehow I think this needs looking at. Im going to hazard that the threat of ammunition cookoff is not modelled at all on the M1 ingame where as it effects opposition tanks. An ammunition cookoff in an abrams will save the crew but would render the vehicle combat ineffective. It would lose the majority of its ammunition load, and I would hazard a guess at the crew wanting to remove themselves and their platform from combat pretty sharpish.

I did make a bug report thread some time ago.
-
Well at the moment, it does have over modelled armour protection (bordering a force field) on its roof from incoming 120mm projectiles. Especially on the engine deck...

Bradley cannot stand up to comrade tankist. However comrade tankist cannot stand up to HATO yankee tankist.

Fair reply from Steve. RPG-30 confirmed!11!!!

Multi-spectral smoke is very effective, wind conditions permitting. If there is a gale blowing then, yeah, don't even bother.
Im not sure Russian artillery deployed smoke is multi-spectral.
-
Try obscuring the position you want them to fire from, smoke the area in front to allow them time to get into position and setup. Smoke clears and suddenly the enemy is facing a significantly different firepower ratio.
Doesnt often work against the yankees.

Wasnt Trophy upgraded to counter the RPG-30 already? Trophy-17 or w/e.
Either way, it'll probably lead to a new RPG or just an upgrade for the 30, then another for Trophy and so on.
Trench Coat is the system which can counter RPG-30. That isn't in the inventory of US forces in CMBS. The decision to level the field in the favour of the US on speculative arms transfers is in the hands of the devs.

Yeah and also if you fight as Russian, you must fight like a Russian. You must make liberal and well planned use of automatic grenade launchers (AGS), RPO units and massive amounts of Mortar and artillery fire. Russians believe in heavy firepower, not aimed rifle fire. WHen you do that, they are very difficult if not downright impossible to fight against in infantry-centric battles. Dont use the russians as you would with US infantry. That's fighting on US terms and you will lose. Fight on YOUR terms.
Get attaching those RPO and AGS sections to your platoons. Make contact with the 2 man scout section, and smash the point of contact to bits.
-
RPG-30 with its APS defeat capability would be an interesting and unique piece of equipment to give to Russian airborne. Would make them really stand apart from other Russian troops and give them a capability the US does not have.
-
About rifle optics, If we are talking about a Russian invasion into Ukraine, Then the troops sent there will be high tier and highly equipped, Which most will have rifle optics, Especially by 2017. Would be nice if some issues like those are fixed, Would make me playing redfor more fun.
Optics are only general issue in naval infantry and vdv units afaik - indeed high readiness units.

I've read a bit about what constitutes the standard Disposable anti-tank rocket for the russian motor-rifle troops. It's the RPG-26 because it is small and light. However, the RPG-27 was adopted to supplement it and packs a 105mm tandem warhead, I wonder if it would be made available as a resupply item in BTRs and BMPs (or ammo trucks) so you may acquire it . It is heavier and bulkier so you may have a weight penalty for the troops (not as heavy as the Javelin though). It would give russian infantry more punch and is not un-realistic. I also believe the RPG-28 (1000m+ of penetration) is also available but maybe only for the VDV,
ALso, from what was said here in the forums, both the squad leader and his assistant have scopes much like they are the only ones with radios. Maybe in a next patch.
I dont actually think the issue medium range target acquisition scope (1P29/1P78) is modelled ingame. Thats why they are not equipped as such.
The night scope is and could suffice as a placeholder.
VDV for expansion should be issued with a mix of 1P29/1P78 and 1P63 optics throughout the section.

If you read the rest of that thread (and ignore the insults that got it locked) you can see that the link between greater exposure on Steam or in this case Amazon and more sales is not proven at all
That is completely wrong. Basic economics and advertising elasticity of demand. You get more market by advertising, fact.

^ Yes, finally someone thinking outside the box.
Boyo, see that warning up there underneath my name.
That's what thinking out the box on this forum gets you.

The first Russia mission was a good map.
-
Well they could add Amazon's cut to the price on Amazon. But that would further reduce the incentive of going through the trouble since most would probably buy it cheaper directly from Battlefront anyway.
I think the point here is advertisement. BFC is s*** at advertisement. fact.
On a site as publicly viewed as Amazon, the player base would increase markedly.
-
I think the author would have to post them. But +1 this is a good idea.
-
They should put them on there as the boxed versions to be bought at normal price to be honest.

Nae bother IICptMillerII
There was someone working on a method of tracking casualties and carrying this over from one game to another but IIRC it worked using an excel spreadsheet and physically adjusting the "core force" in the editor i.e. play a scenario, note your losses, then edit your spreadsheet. Use this record to then inform your purchase for your next scenario. Although I suspect this was being used within the context of a wider meta campaign.
If the game did It for you it would be much less end user effort.
In the force pick screen it could give you an option to load from an existing core force, one you made in a scenario for example, then pick the points value out of that core force. Saving the core force again to a separate file after the QB has finished.
Job jobbed, dynamic campaign done.
String 6 QBs together between you and an opponent - now there is a sense of worth of your own troops.
-
However, that would be a nice feature no? At the end of the QB it saves the units you use if you so wish, then when you load up another QB you can drop them in and choose from that roster. That way quick user made dynamic campaigns could be made on the fly.

I meant this "It would require a development team and, in conclusion, for the modders it would be like making a complete video game". You said it almost as if large modding projects are an impossibility. A good team of modders can accomplish alot.
The lack of modability of CM I am familiar with..
