If i converted all of the CMFB quick battle maps to CMCW for use in quick battles, and posted the converted maps on CM mods warehouse would i be breaking any rules?
I have seen some CMBS quick battle maps converted to WW2 titles and released as packs.

Im sure in CMBS you can use the vehicle itself to call fires. In CW it cant do that, which is a bug?

Is someone looking to do a pack of these conversions like I did with the CM:RT maps?

I tried to put all this stuff on FGM about a year ago, it didnt work - so thats why we are where we are now, using a 3rd party hosting site.

For now I have uploaded them to filedropper - hopefully they should last on there for a while.
Mix and match for some interesting combos, especially if your trying to represent razvedchiki or special purpose forces.

The rest are really off the scale for CM. Knife fighting is irrelevant. Weapons of mass destruction might be relevant at an operational scale, but not at a tactical scale. As SPI once said of one of their WW III tactical games, "If you want to depict the effect of tactical nuclear weapons, just squirt lighter fluid all over the map and throw down a match." In CM you can create the effect by simply turning off your computer.
As far as A2A goes, that is simply another game, not CM. CM is a ground game and is only concerned with airpower to the extent that it directly effects the ground game. A2A, if included at all, would only be a simple mechanism for limiting the ability of one side to intervene in the ground game depending how much the other side is able to commit to counter air. I would not be surprised if most players diddled with it a few times and then never visited it again.

I could see potential usage for an option for CBRN scenarios, such as operations in the wake of a tactical nuclear strike or CBRN strike. As when enabled units have the PPE "skins" enabled (simlar to how they have night vision goggles and camo faces at night) and that everyone is slowed by the extra exertion, C2 is worse because of signal outages, etc. Both NATO and Russia train for combat operations under these environments.

The slat armour hanging on chains is an interesting addition over the rubberised flap bits on the T-80U series and on the T-72B2 Rogatka.

They are all feasible with user made scenarios, but not with QBs.

Maybe a way of getting around this is adding an additional split squad option (alongside scout team, at team, fireteam etc) which just splits off the SL, and the rest of the squad is led by the senior soldier/asst. SL?

Agreed, hope this is in the next patch. I would like the extra challenge of no LWR as playing as the US.

Really does improve the look of the game that Reshade. They should consider integrating it or a similar system.

I do believe that the Ukrainians have reactivated older T-80BV back into service with their airborne too.

Yeah its very similar looking. You can tell the difference between the infantry/dismounts though.

All i could make of it when i found it on youtube looking a flight videos for lessons on some dcs birds.
Its an older version of virtual battlespace (ARMA 1) engine not DCS

They are still updating the VBS platform and are looking to push VBS 3.6 out. The engine has been much improved to the levels of ARMA 3 but some of the models are still low quality.

When the expansion is released or for a subsequent patch, what about being able to choose mixed forces in QB, or at least have the option to do so. It could better reflect US advisory teams working alongside Ukrainian formations and bringing superior air power to bear, or Russian led separatist forces if militia are added, without having to go into the editor and create specific scenarios. It would also allow representation of the mixed composite BTGs that where a VDV BTG will deploy with attached armour from a tank or motor-rifle unit, of course you would pay extra points for this in game but bring needed armour to an otherwise light VDV ORBAT.

Pretty significant bug:
Whatever happened in the last patch, it seems to have given US troops and vehicle gunners IR optics instead of NV optics or something
Here is several images of M113A2 gunners destroying BTR-60s through smoke with their M2s during a game, and during a test mission i made to prove the bug exists. You can see the tracer firecoming right through the smoke in all images. I have attached a test mission so you can test it yourself.
As it stands now. Covering with smoke while playing as Soviets is completely useless and pointless.
