The rear mounted optic suite for a start. and the inverted triangle shape of the turret with a large turn table and base plate, with very little armour protection on the turret front.
-
I know its not 195, but the turret construction looks very similar in layout. 195 chassis is much bigger, and the gun is of different caliber.
The 2A82 might be a placeholder for now, its not exactly got to fire on parade has it, just look like it can at some point. They will probably throw some thermal sleeve and barrel warp compensator equipment on there after the parade and they go back to the Tagil factory.

nice find on the vid, but it does not look like an unmanned turret.
It most definitely is. There is no fume extractor on the barrel.
-
Same turret as obj195 (but without 152mm gun), as i said in the other thread months ago )

Hah, I claimed the 7 road wheels on here time ago! Ill be picking up the sweep then.

I dont think the AI uses face orders. It usually just orders a large ring circle engagement angle around the unit.

I do not want to sound like an apologist or anything, but they are just not as bad as many of you seem to picture them.
Seems a common thing on here sometimes

I think its because they market for MAC as well.

Russia is operating several totally different flavors of MBTs, IFVs, APCs, rifles manchine guns, etc, etc etc. If it just picked one and said "okay, screw you T-80/T-72/T-62 etc, everything from now on is T-90 based" it'd save a lot of money and result in a force structure that was not nearly so uneven in capabilities. While some of it is a reflection of the cold war leftovers Russia has been saddled with, it's also a reflection of the sort of dualistic pretending it's still 1989 and that mission set is both valid and realistic, while making robot guards/bearsuit body armor/not being able to figure out which more or less the same rifle it needs to buy to replace a rifle that honestly just needs a better way to mount accessories to prepare for a "future" conflict that's still pretty poorly defined.
More focus in equipment (with something more realistic than the Armata given the budget at hand), and a more realistic mission would likely go a long way in allowing Russia to accomplish national security objectives with less overhead and redundant capabilities, or questionable thinking.
That's not right at all. Granted it would save money, but as of 2015 the capability of all the systems is not vastly different, and Russian units have been formed into BTGs similar to your BCT formations.
MBT wise, everything is equipped similarly and fires the same type of ammunition.
IFV/APC wise they all carry the same amount of infantry, have the same speeds, take the same fuel, and take the same ammunition. The only marked difference is the BMP-3 which is not widely in service.
As for rifles and small arms well, go figure. They all use the same ammunition and are basically all the same weapon. AK74-AK74M are the rifles in service, PKM-PKP are the machineguns in service, and all have the same capability.
If you said this after 2008 I would of given you credit, but not today.

Just the fact that it only works on Windows platforms. And maybe Xbox, I'm not sure about that one.
You sure, swear FarCry 4 runs DX11 and is on PS4 also. Maybe not MAC like, but MAC is not a gaming system at the end of the day.

Well you wont get any of ARMA without steam now. So I guess its a complete right off for you.
Probably why you couldn't find/purchase it.
-
Wow. OK perhaps my post was slightly harsh but thee was nothing personal in there and I certainly never meant to tell anyone to F off. Sorry you took it that way.
But come on you are comparing an open environment like Arma that does not have a playable tactical simulation that I can go to a website and buy / down right away and start playing against the AI this afternoon. To a game that can do that. A several months ago when Arma came up I had a look and could not find anything that was even close to CM. If I am missing something please point me in the river direction.
But kindly keep your insults to your self.
It sounds like you need to learn to work the editor. You can download it, and open the editor, and away you go right away.

That's why robotic tanks gradually will become more and more autonomus.
I for one will not welcome our new robot overlords.

Evening chaps, one update and one new pack. All hosted on my DB because the repository is a POS.
Stagler's MSV Flora Uniforms v1.0
For those who like it old school. No knee pads Flora uniforms and webbing pouches with the correct MSV insignia patches, with black and green balaclavas. Left open if people want to mix and match and ragtag units. The helmets would go well with my other mod or separatist mods for example.

Stagler's MSV Uniforms v1.3
- Retextured the helmets to add some cloth folds.

Maybe it would be a good idea to have some sort of better bug reporting and seeing what is being currently worked on framework like github or devheaven.

Thanks for your reply. if it uses opengl then im happy. opengl works on all platforms we could some day see it ported to stuff like android steam os.
can i get more confirmation that it uses opengl?
It does use OpenGL. Also, don't mention steam on here Cybuss, otherwise you will risk the wrath of the admins.

I had an AT-4 hit those side plates (single warhead, no tandem) and it gave me a reactive armor hit. Tandem warheads will go through them easily.
The plate maybe, but with the standoff of the plate from the actual hull side. Don't forget its attacked to the track guard, which is spaced the tracks width away from the hull.
Glad to see its being fixed anyway.

Ha, cheers Oakheart. I cant take credit for the work of Alex though he is the driving force.
Burke, believe or not but as gamers, we have a good idea of what makes a good game. Maybe not a successful business, granted, but what sets games above the bar, and what is the industry standard when we go out and spend our hard earned cash on games.

He used twice more than anyone else. Take a look at my post a few pages ago and I wasn't even exhaustive. He was the initial one claiming bias. When in glass houses...
To be fair I have used it a lot. 'Murica!
And Vanir, awesome. Cheers!

You also have a strong tendency to say 'murica every time you don't like the way something Russian is modeled in the game.
Funnily enough I spotted another bug with the side plates on the T-72B3 and T-90A today. They are just counted as steel plates ingame and shaped charges explode on them without blowing them off and penetrate the tank, when in actuality they are filled with K5 blocks. I am getting my pictures together before I make the thread on tech support.

By electronic attack, I did not just mean the electronics on the platform. If you can bring a drone out of the sky with a false signal, you can stop a robotic tank.
Armata soon to be in service.
in Combat Mission Black Sea

That's exactly what it is, a rear CITV mounted optic suite .I don't think it will have pkt like on t-90AM for now though.
I am with this guys opinion. http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?99988-Russian-Photos-(updated-on-regular-basis)&p=7606806&viewfull=1#post7606806
We can agree to disagree comrade.
