  1. I have been into metal miniatures for almost 50 years, but the last couple of years, 3D printing has taken off! You can get stl files for anything military. I don’t have a printer and have enough unpainted lead that my gaming room could double as a fallout shelter, so I don’t bother with them, but a quick web search will generate a lot of sites. Quite a few from among wargames are are free, too.

@Vergeltungswaffe. It's the best book on the battle of Berlin by one of the best authors on the late war period. An absolute must have for every Ostfronter.

Good to know, Aragorn, cuz I just bought it the other day.

Hm... okay. Guess that´s then not available for Win10 anymore. If I´d know Corel´s latest Paintshop Pro loads and works with CM files properly I´d likely purchase it. It´s at ~50 Euros ATM and likely suffices for my needs.

Harry, I mentioned this in another thread where you mentioned this. I have Corel Paintshop Pro Ultimate 2019. You can work with alpha channels and masks, etc., as well as every thing else for modding CM as far as I can tell, but it does not save 32bit in bmp format. Waaay back, I used to have Paintshop when JASC owned it, but I didn't even know what a mask was back then. Wish I had saved that version, because I have read since that it did what we now want.  Apparently neither Gimp nor Paint.net no longer save 32bit in bmp?

Don´t need a pro solution, like Photoshop and the like. Paintshop Pro, now under Corel´s hood seems still appropiate maybe.🤔

Harry, I have Corel’s PSP 2019 version, and have had earlier ones. You can save 32bit files in their “.pspimage” format for working with alpha channels, but you can’t save them in .bmp format. I was counting on Gimp or maybe Paint.net. No dice there, huh?

  5. Yup, Pause only affects movement orders, not firing orders. Target Light (for mortars) or Target Briefly sort of limits ammo, but not in a way to help, generally. You can Target Briefly and do a short move right away for X distance, and the smoke will be limited, but still round will always come out of the pew pew end of the barrel right away. (At least as I recall.)
