So... lots of BMP-1s? I can kinda get seeing a few MTLBs because they're semi-ubiquitous utility vehicles, but not so many BMP-1s.
I mean, could be DPR/LPR vehicles, but committing the second-rate cannon fodder to an important operation is probably a sign of something worse.
Also: there's a chunk of BMP stuck in a tree! Not just the fact that they are BMP1s, but also they seem to be very old versions of them. Isnt that structure ontop of the cannon the launch system for AT-3s? Arent those like Cold War era variants? Is that a fair observation to make or is that detail insignificant?

Words have consequences, as Lavrov's case shows. Apparently Israel never vetoed Estonian Spike export to Ukraine. It might not be gamechanging, but a bunch of NLOS ATGMs won't make Russians lives there easier, especially if other countries like Poland jump on the bandwagon too.
Im currently in a Spike equipped section, and If Spikes do make it to Ukraine I will be extremely happy. With a good amout of simulator time a group of guys can become VERY proficient at NLOS sniping in a matter of hours. I hadnt touched the system and was doing NLOS attacks (in the simulator) in an hour.

The traitor who gave the Russians information showed his face on TV? Can we start a pool on his life expectancy?
The forces in Mariupol have stood as bravely as any in human history.
May he live forever....

Russia drafts 134,500 conscripts but says they won't go to Ukraine (msn.com)
Just the ones who "voluntarily" sign up to do so.
I can picture it already, a Russian Sgt Major adressing the 134,500 conscripts:
"I need 100,000 volunteers"

What about the 10th Mountain Division then?
Well ok, fair enough. I wil give a pass on mountain infantry being light, seeing that thats a prerequisite for their existance. . Here in Spain you could also make the case the only light infantry left is the mountain battalions. I mean my "MOS" is light infantry and....yeah no. If we ever go anywhere we are gonna carry a lot of stuff.

I’ve seen many posts of Ukrainian infantry armed to the teeth with AT weapons. These guys would be considered heavy infantry at this point?
To be honest IMO I dont think there is such a thing as light infantry anymore. There hasnt been for a long time.

Also good to see those Spanish Instalanza C90´s in action.

I read that many Russian troops fear remaining in vehicles to sleep in at night and abandon them to camp out in forested areas instead. Fear created by the threat of Javelins and drones operating with IR capability being able to pick out heat signatures of vehicles. In turn generates falling morale - no faith in equipment.
I Was talking about this with my squad today. We where saying that if we where in country right now there is no way we would be sleeping in or near the vehicles, but ofcourse this means sleeping in the freezing temperature. Its already miserable doing that during training I cant imagine in an actual war setting. Redundant statement but it cant be fun right now over there. Moral must be atrocious.

I was in training a couple of years ago in Romania and 4 Mig-21 where supposed to do drop their bombs during an excercise. Only 3 showed up. Turned out one had crashed on the way. Looked into it and aparently Romania loses a Mig-21 a year due to accidents. So...not suprising really.

The extent to which CMBS is prophetic is utterly terrifying. Read the novella the U.S. Army armor officer wrote at the beginning of the CMBS rollout. The parts that are not absolutely dead on easily could be by this time next week.
Does anyone have a link or know where to find this? Thanks. Also its been really interesting reading all of the differnet takes on the thread.

If the whole game is installed there you should be OK.....Unlike the later games, CM:SF1, CM:A & CM:BN don't create a seperate Game Files folder (or anything else) in Documents by default, these folders are to be found in the game installation directory instead.
Happy to say the patch solved all the issues with the campaigns not showing. I thought it was odd, never happened before in any CM ive played. Thanks allot again SGT for your help.

We had a guy shot in the chest during some iive fire 2 years ago that sadly passed away. We normally wear flaks with kevlar and without plates. Anecdotal but word around is that wearing the flak actually made the wound worse by steering the round offcourse prematurely. Im no scientist so I dont know the validity of that.
I dont know in my years in I have mixed feeling about the vests. I understand why they are there though.

C2 is quite important too. For a while now ive dedicated some part of my scenario preparation to establishing and making sure all C2 is green. Say for example I set up the recon platoon on a hill overlooking a town where ive got an infantry company set up. If the battalion commander unit isnt in the field AFAIK the intel isnt passed on from the recon platoon to say the infantry coy commander. What I do is I make sure atleast one member/vehicle of the recon platoon is within voice range of the company commander, so anything the recon spots eventually travels down the member/vehicle beside the coy CO, and then down to the infantry squads...and this sure makes a difference.

The big thing lacking for me with air support is the lim

I agree with @domfluff when it comes to aircraft. I think that a few tweaks would go a long way to how they are in game. Longer loiter times (when not being shot at) and larger area missions I think would be a good start. Plus, allowing aircraft to come in and drop all their bombs in one pass would make them both more effective, more survivable, and more realistic, especially in Cold War.
There are certainly other fixes/tweaks that could be implemented but those are a few things that come immediately to mind that I think would have a positive effect.
I agree this is the main problem. For me its the limited area attack zones, and not being able to dictate which bombs to use.

One thing im severely disliking about this campaign is the time limits. I feel that adding atleast an extra 20 minutes to most missions would help but I always feel rushed

Oh that's odd. I just saw them as grease guns but now that you say MP40 they clearly are. I cannot imagine what would cause that. Perhaps a patch install issue. I wonder about a mod problem but it doesn't feel like that. Did you recently install the patch? If so can you verify that the .exe file has a date close to the patch release date? You could also try putting your mods aside (move the directory) just be be sure.
It was part of a scenario that started with the previous patch yes, I still have the save file about, if someone wishes to have a look at it.

What happened?
A US Airborne HQ team armed with MP40s and Kar90k´s . Is this a mistake or is it in the OOB? I cant find it.

Perhaps try again once the black on blue quote colours have been changed - that's one of the problem that was being worked on.
Thought it might be that, Will try again in a couple of days or next week...Thanks for the response
