  1. Man, that first map is a kiler. I've never been the best at MOUT in CMSF, and the limited ROE and narrow streets means alot of dead jarheads for me. Any pointers?
  2. I'd have to agree with you there. I personally enjoy the limited ability to correct my actions during a replay phase. Battlefield commanders usually don't breathe down their subordinates necks in a combat zone (at least the good ones). WeGo rewards careful planning as opposed to instant feedback. Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy realtime, but only at the platoon level or below.
  3. What missions do you play? I've been looking for some good Blue on Blue ever since I played the US v UK mission that came stock with the UK module.
  4. Holy ****! Could you imagine the uproar if we took 138 casualties on a single assault?
  5. While I know it wasn't large scale I've seen AI, especially insurgent teams, break from combat after firing a few shots and run away from my main body of troops.
  6. Really now? Which vehicles would this be? Or a more focused question, how can you tell these vehicles have this equipment? Is there a symbol, like with the BFT?
  7. I have played the stock Blue on Blue mission that came with the UK Module. Are there any other US v UK missions out there? I've looked through greenasjades and didn't find anything. Any pointers would be great
  8. I'm sure this has been covered before, but I really don't have the time to sift through thousands of posts looking for the one peice I need. So is there any way to spot IED's? I'm sure if it's a wired one it wouldn't be too hard to spot, but I've played various scenarios with wire and radio IED's and have never had one of my units spot them. It gets really annoying when I keep walking my men into IED ambushes after they've been sitting 25 meters from it for 3 minutes.
  9. I agree. There should be a way to transport a fallen comrade to a safer location to do buddy aid. I hate having to give buddy aid in the middle of the street, or go back and recover my guy just because my squad mates didn't pick him up.
  10. Great narration. Do you think you could get a picture of the whole battlefield up to this point up? It'd help me try to figure out what's going on where.
  11. I know I've seen this in a forum on here somewhere, but this site has some really good manuals in regards to training and tactics. Enjoy
  12. Is that a true story? I didn't know Slovaks were that affected by it. Sorry if I sound a bit ignorant, but I'm merely curious.
  13. I totally agree with you there. But a soldier manning a .50 cal and two guys popping out of the back of a stryker firing m-16's isn't very effective. And it's not like I don't find the soldiers in the back useful, I just want to option to be able to have them button up when need be.
  14. I'm pretty sure there isn't. At least I haven't run into any yet.
  15. You have a good point, but basing the entire game engine on an assumption is kinda foolish in my book. Just earlier today I lost two of my men from an errant airburst artillery shell that landed about 20 feet away but still managed to take both of them out. They were just sitting in the open desert waitinig for the bradley platoon to take the crossroads, and out of nowhere that lone artillery shot wiped out a team leader and my marksman. There was no tactical purpose for their heads to be popped out, and as a result two men died. I really hope this will be fixed in the next patch, but I'm not holding my breath.
  16. Good point, I also think the HMMWV should have passenger fire modeled. But a HMMWV and a Stryker are two different beasts. At least in the Stryker you can get your head down.
  17. Lol, i can see that. Perhaps a little trip to the local VA hospital will sort him out
  18. I'm pretty sure it doesn't happen. You'd think after getting their buddies brains splattered all over them they'd get their ass down, but apparantly not.
  19. This is where I have to disagree with you. There are many accounts of soldiers ducking into the stryker during intense fire fights. And my main concern is at the longer ranges. Say, for instance, I'm assaulting and enemy ridgeline. I move one platoon and set up a base of fire with my squads dismounted. With my second platoon I go on a wide flanking manuever when suddenly a quick burst from a PKM hits one of my guys up in the hatch. It doesn't make sense to have them up and about providing "rear security" in the middle of an open desert or field. I just want to have the ability to give my soldiers cover in situations like this
  20. So how long until I can download this bad boy?
  21. Thanks alot I know they are being field tested as of right now, but do you know when they will start to be fully implemented?
  22. Is there a way you can button up the troops that stick their heads out of the back of the strykers? I'm sick of watching them get picked off by snipers and HMG gunners, and I've tried everything I can thing of to button them up, but it doesn't seem to work.
  23. Not necessarily. To my knowledge, none of the CAS listed are stealth fighters. And even our so called "stealth" fighters aren't 100% stealthy, they just reflect radar beams better than other planes.
  24. True, i hadn't thought of that. By the way, what is that green area that is on the shoulders? Is that supposed to be a harness or is it just a really green area?
