  1. Back up your originals and be sure to read the notes. Unzip the mod into a safe place, decide which of the two you want to use, and the copy and paste the mod to wherever you keep your Battlefront folder. The mod mimics the folder structure of the game. The attached notes in the download describe the history of changes. One version only that uses Parteiflag as German National Flag and Reichskriegflag as War Flag. ** Now includes darker and angrier storms ** More...

  5. There are two mods of the Breakthrough Call To Arms scenario in this package. *One uses a more historically correct yellow-black Austro-Hungarian flag, the other uses a corrected version of the double flag naval ensign that came with the plain vanilla version of the game. *The yellow-black version is better. To install the Yellow-Black version (the better one), copy the 'Battlefront' folder and paste it to wherever your Battlefront folder normally resides. The contents of the folder mimic the structure of what's inside your regular Battlefront folder, just make sure you all the copy to overwrite whenever you're asked. To install the other version (boo hiss), change the name of the 'Battlefront_red green Austrians' folder to just 'Battlefront', and do the same thing you did with the better version of the mod.And if you're used to using mods, you'll know that it's always a good idea to back up your originals first. Please give me a shout if I've missed something: there's a lot going on and it's easy to miss things.*** Now includes repainted Nato-style 2D unit sprites *** More...
  6. (The mod formerly known as SOE German Symbols)*This is the fifth and hopefully last update. It adjusts the background shade of red for the Reichskrieg flag (not shown in thumbnail), brings the red in the Polish 2D flag more in line with the 3D flags, and corrects some production errors that had crept in from Gremlingard. **The mod comes in two versions, one using the plain Parteiflag and the other the Reichskriegflag for German HQ units. *The Reichskriegflag is the default texture, and both versions use the Parteiflag for national capitals. The mod also changes several other national flags, most notably the Greek flag.*Back up your originals and be sure to read the notes. *Unzip the mod into a safe place, decide which of the two you want to use, and the copy and paste the mod to wherever you keep your Battlefront folder. *The mod mimics the folder structure of the game, so very few actions are required apart from removing the '_alt' part of the file name if you decide that is the version of the mod you would rather use.* More...

  12. This mission is a two and a half hour Blue Force Company Group sized probe into the green zone in the Upper Sangin Valley, Helmand Province, Afghanistan in June 2008. The overall task is to patrol out of FOB Alma and conduct intelligence led compound searches of three Taliban compounds. The scenario is Blue versus the Red AI only and is not recommended for H2H play. While the mission and map is entirely fictional it is based on actual forces and the type of terrain encountered at this time. This passage from the book Company Commander written by Major Russell Lewis MC was one of the main inspirations for this mission. Another excellent book that provided inspiration is Honourable Warriors by Major Richard Streatfeild MBE. Both officers commanded companies operating out of FOB Inkerman in the Upper Sangin Valley. ‘Once on his feet the lead soldier jumps up and down to try and get his load seated and as comfortable as possible. You can’t ever get it comfortable, there are just degrees of discomfort. He shrugs his shoulders and clicks his head side to side, working out a few kinks but ultimately going through his own pre-match ritual and getting his game face on. He is the point man. The very first man in this whole snake that will weave its way out into the green zone and actively hunt out the enemy. I can’t see his face but I know him. A young nineteen year old private. He has probably been out of basic training less than a year, yet already he is in the middle ... More...

  19. **For CMFI v1.20 ONLY ** (3.0 engine)Vin's animated text mod for CMFI v1.20Concept by VinnartGraphics by Marco BergmanThis mod changes the soldier stat text to make it easier to distinguish the actions of each soldier in the squad, and separate teams within the squad by use of type styles, and symbols. It gives the text an "animated" feel, and gives the player a clearer picture of the actions at a glance. The mod contains two versions. One is "heavy”, and one is "light" with the only difference in the two being the action "Spotting". The “heavy” version uses a symbol of an "eye to show the action. The “light” version maintains the word as a kind of filter that can be ignored making the more important symbol actions stand out. Other than that all graphic symbols in the "legend" are used. To use the mod place either the "heavy", or "light folder inside either:"My Documents/Battlefront/Combat Mission/Fortress Italy/Game Files/User Data/Mods" folder.OR(game install folder)/Data/z folder.Customising the text: ( For experts only.)To change anything to your preference you can draw the symbols in the “string” text file using the number code that is on the font explain pic. To draw hold down the Alt key while pressing the numbers on the NUMBER PAD ONLY, then release the alt key. You will see a symbol then appear where you have typed, but the graphic symbol will s...
