  1. Yes, I had precisely that in mind when I opened this post. By viewing a single type of info at a time it reduces the clutter; and the info are only a click away from you.
  2. Yes I agree. It's sometimes too easy to pick the HQ. It should be identified only after some observation. For hidden units, another thing that should work is to have their floating icon semi-transparent.
  3. It would be very useful and very nice to have more informative floating icons. Some simple ideas: - Floating icon border is dashed -> the unit is HIDDEN (very often I forget to set hidden status for some unit!) - Optional, pressing some key, the color indicates: level of supply morale command chain status etc. etc. (this works only for friendlies, obviously) Please consider this!
  4. For some 3 minutes it was very very frequent, a little disappointing; after that it happened only sometimes. Each pause was about 5 seconds.
  5. I played three times with Berto, and he got 2 CTDs; one during the match and one at the review screen. Another thing: in the third party scenario "Byte - citadel", with a lot of units, we got very often "Pause" messages. We both have a 7Mbit ADSL. Please, make the game really stable and the TCP work, this game is a masterpiece...
  6. I think I would like to have the action spot feature as an option.
  7. Yesterday, multiplayer with Berto. Syarians were able to hear the cobra radio chatter. The game ended suddenly with a CTD after some 20 minutes.
  8. Wonderful, Moon, thank you for this information.
  9. No, the digital download version of the bundle offer would cost 45$ for CMSF (base game) + Marines. If I buy them separatly it would cost 60$ (35$+25$)!
  10. Hello, Battlefront! Please add the "digital download only" choice to the CMSF+Marines bundle offer! Physical Delivery to Italy is unaffordable... and digital is fine for me!
  11. Thank you Moon; and thank you Webwing for your kind words. Webwing: I spoke of your campaign with other NWI users, it's a lot of fun
  12. Martin: our pub rel manager, Alessio, will send you some quotes for your page, thank you!
  13. Thank you for the translation, a pretty good one! Only one small correction: I'm speaking about mods, and not specifically about fan mods So in English: "with some mods one could reproduce..." is a closer translation I think. We have reviews for all the Combat Mission titles, and I'm happy this one was given to me. Eager to review the Marines module...
  14. My review of CMSF is online, if you read Italian... http://www.netwargamingitalia.net/giochi/combat-mission-shock-force/recensione.html Great work, Battlefront.
  15. Thank you for the answer Steve! My spotters and scouts are grateful
  16. Hunt stops when you "see" an enemy: if you don't spot it, you move often in open sight, the enemy spots you and you are dead Move to LOS instead should stop when you see the selected spot, even if you don't see the enemy.
  17. Yes, early dawn I think. But the situation was incredible, because the Abrams were still in open sight since 15 minutes, firing from time to time; and my troops were there on the roof since 10 minutes as well. I have the save game at home, I will send it this evening.
  18. (sorry, double post) [ April 15, 2008, 01:19 AM: Message edited by: CptWasp ]
  19. About 15 minutes left, and I had a full platoon approaching the top of the hill. But they had a bunch of RPGs and snipers defending the palace. Missions with a full company: yes, maybe less units and more replacements would be better. In the bunker I had a lot of units with 1/4 survivors, and I never used them. Bye!
  20. Some beta tester interested in having the save file? I think it's a bug.
  21. With a dedicated move to LOS command it's only 1 click away... and in RT multiplayer it's the only way to have it done quickly.
  22. Yes, obviously what I say is that a simpler way to have it done would be very useful and smart. Now I'm doing as you say, gibsonm, and is some situations it's very boring. Spotters on a hill: I give the command "slow", what I want is to spot a building; they go a little further than needed, now they are very vulnerable and visible: in a couple of seconds they are killed. What I need is a simple way to achieve that, a command to have a unit just halt when in sight of a spot.
  23. Dawn, good visibility, the tanks where in open sight... about 500m I think. The squad was on the roof of a building, the tanks on a road. The only other troop friendly firing was a lone Stryker against an infantry squad, located on a hill, about 800m away.
  24. It never happened to me. Yesterday an infantry unit opened fire twice against a M1A1! They immobilized it. They had no order, and both the tank and the squad where in chain of command. In the same mission (The Palace, The Ghost campaign) a Stryker opened fire against my infantry on a hill. I'm using version 1.08... What happened? I have the save file.
