  1. Hmm, is the mission available on the repository ? I can't find it (and cmmods is closed now).
  2. Hi all I sent a message to all looking for a PBEM game here. I'm ready when you are
  3. Hello I'm looking for an opponent to make a PBEM. Do you still have time ? Anybody else interested ?
  4. My mistake, sorry, i should have double check before posting the above message. It seems that in fact this example has nothing to do with spotting, as the other player stated that he just shoot on a place where he guessed some units could be hiding. So it's was just "bad luck" for the syrian side. That said i agree in making spotting a bit harder.
  5. Hi I've a good example of easy spotting / killing. Check screenshots in this thread, 2nd post, you'll see 2 M1 eliminating a hiding syrian observer on a roof, rather far away : http://www.cyberstratege.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=2151&p=31150#p31150 And the tanks just used their machineguns ... Whatever the risk taken on this position, it seems it was a very easy shot for the gunner. The syrian unit was supposed to be hiding (and beginning ordering a small mortar attack, by the way).
  6. Use torrent network, it's a great tool... Or make a deal with a specialized gaming website (like Filefront) to have your own semi private area. You can even adopt both solution (and others), just giving the option to your customers by clearly explaining this or that (go there if you use torrent software or ...). Besides that, whatever hosting solutions you choose you may easily cap the download rate to spare bandwidth. No need have light speed to download small files. Don' expect most people to pay even just 5 $ for a one month time subscription, because if 5 $ is nothing for you, you're lucky as it's more the opposite for more and more people... Best regards
  7. Nice one. I manage to get an "unconventional surrender" (?) and to secure both objectives. It is perhaps a bit long (I played UA defending force / Red) and at the end i was mostly chasing "spies" infiltrating my bases. The building for the mine are too big too and too numerous. And the garnison seriously lacks training Anyway, it was fun to prevent the place being swarmed.
  8. Same thing. In fact i was unsure of what to do with them, so they took position in the house near the evac zone, mainly to spot in case reinforcments would arrive on the left flank of the teams. So they saw the ambush, but were not useful for the reinforcments coming on the west road, because of trees I suppose... Anyway, I really hope you'll be making another spec ops only mission like that.
  9. I was just looking for a mission of this kind. Though i'm not an expert with CMSF, it's an excellent scenario, very fun and interesting to play. Perhaps is it a bit too easy, not sure. I had one casualty but just because i didn't watch carefully around... I had the same "problem" than The Louch (fighting early with patrols along the road thinking it was the convoy ...) but it's not that annoying as it spice up a bit things when the real convoy arrives) Too bad also that we can't salvage ammo and weapons unless on our own casualties (no ?), because i played nearly half the mission with half my troops throwing grenades (which works pretty well ) as they had no more bullets... It's probably me who don't handle the game very well, and so there must be many wasted shots... Also, Talibans surrendered before the compound was fully destroyed. So i had only "acceptable victory" (or something like that). Those F16 were not very precise, even with cars burning near the compound. One bomb even hit a nearby forest, something like one hundred meter away but at least in the opposite direction of my troops Anyway, thank you for this great scenario.
