A 7950 requires a normal 250-300W power supply and no additional air conditioning.
You can buy a new one on e-bay at 100-120US$ and probably a used one at 3/4 that price.
Yes, its a modest investment to play a 45US$ game.
Actually, HDR in ToW2 stops AA working even with a GeForce 260. No matter what settings you have in ToW2 and control panel.
Empire Total War's HDR and AA works togheter with no problem at all.
This is what I get with AA forced on in the nVidia control panel and HDR off in the game. If I set HDR on I dont get any AA.
My system: Intel C2Duo E6850 3.0Ghz, WinXP Pro SP3, 2GB RAM, DirectX installed from ToW3, GeForce 260, 182.08 drivers.
Ok, AA works with HDR unchecked and "override game settings" ON in control panel. However, strange graphics appears
With HDR on, no way to get AA even with the GeForce 260.
Thomm do yourself a favor and take a look at a couple of books like "Iron Hulls, Iron Hearts" by Ian W.Walker and "Hitler's Italian Allies" by MacGregor Knox before spitting ignorant racist insults.
Thanks for the replies.
However, when I change resolution and press the "Apply" button, I dont get any "restart" message. I get back to Main Menu and the graphics change takes effect after the restart of the game.
I run Win XP.
BTW Sgt,
the only way to have news here IS to apply pressure. Five days a week is enough, but the whole day and all the weeks. You know what I mean, do you?
From another thread:
"It looks like we should be able to include the Battle Generator for a delay of only a few more days.
As such, we are hoping that we can release the patch NEXT week as opposed to this one BUT it will have the Battle Generator included.
If we find any issue between now and the weekend though, we will just release the patch without the Battle Generator and then add that later.
This is all tenative, but figured you would like to know where things are at the moment.
Madmatt"
The day after tomorrow IS the next week
Thank GOD, I own the Battlefront boxed version, however the printed manual is an awful b/w and difficult to read thing.
This "not printer friendly" thing is another example of how badly things can be done.
But the "you cant do it" thing is simply silly. Learn how to deal with customers.
