  1. 3Dmax is best I think although I'm sure it's not my gig (yet). Also Google "All Aircraft Arcade" go to that site & look at the 3d modelling section moderated by fatduck & dr jones. Dr jones wrote the SFS extractor & I know has helped various ppl. They will also be able to help with importing models into the ToW/IL2 engine.

  2. It's the British late war attack plane that should be but never gets included in games. Something about only ~2800 being flown by Commonwealth forces in WW2! ;) It comes with guns, bombs & rocket options.

I highly recommend jumping into the editor & replacing it on the British missions & as the opposing ground attack a/c on the Lehr campaign

Here's a pic of this beauty!

  3. Arzok,

Disk is cheap as chips (about 0.5 cents per MB), bandwidth is not that expensive, IMO this is just BFC being bloody tightfisted!

I repeat that the 40Mb limit makes the repository UNFIT FOR PURPOSE where ToW is concerned, I certainly will not be posting beta3 of Bulldogs to it if I have to spend even more of my own (unpaid) time embelishing thier commercial site. After all who benefits from me doing this (not me), it's users through thier downloaded content & BFC through increased sales of their product.

300MB would be a more realistic limit for ToW uploads, that would fit most campaign uploads.

  4. Reading this got me thinking of possibilities.....

How about having your unit observe for x minutes & then has to safely make it back to friendly lines & a radio to call in an air/artillery strike. You could add to the damage caused by once the strike has been called & a preset delay of x seconds using the damage object command to wipe out what's left in the target zone. Would be a fun mission if you had to eliminate certain units (e.g. sentries, or patrol.) on the way to the observation point.

Only an idea........Good luck with your mission, I'd be interested to see what you come up with.

  5. As I type the map pack is uploading to the repository....

There are 8 new maps with a MP mission for each:-

    Eterville

    Hill 112

    Maltot

    St Mere Eglise

    St Aignan

    St Come du Mont

    St Marie do Mont

    Tilly la Campagne

    Vierville

I've had no opportunity to test these in MP so I have no idea how they will play, all missions were generated using the Battle Generator, I've tried to make the armys as representative as I can. Each mission should be Germans vs Americans/British depending on the battle. All maps were generated using Google Earth screen grabs as base for the maintex & farmaintex tgas.

Hope the missions work & you like them :)

  6. Where do you live?

Remember that the USA uses a different date format to RoW in MMDDYY whereas most ppl use DDMMYY. It's a bit like Americans calling football 'Soccer' FFS :)

Oh while I'm at it for the sake of our US friends a 'meter' is something that measures things (i.e. a dial) & a 'metre' (Note METRE) is a unit of measurement ( i.e. 100cm or 3'.3" ). Just an illustration of 2 nations divided by a common language! ;)
